24.01.2022 Long weekend tradionally we wean, this year doing in small groups, very very wet here so big groups turn up the yards too much. Thought would tie up a few heifers could only fit 7 in the race, very squishy.

22.01.2022 Raedean have entered the On Farm Callenge and Beef Week, so we decided to swap all our cows around. A huge job but with some wonderful help from Rach and James our Spring calvers are now at home and Autumn calvers are at our block. Now i just have to narrow down our entries for next weekend!

16.01.2022 More carcass and steer results. Reserve Champion carcase Geelong Royal, this steer also was placed 1st on the hoof and we won the highest scoring bred and owned award. Pic of our award winning Brisbane heavy weight steer.
15.01.2022 Bulls in and the weaned spring bulls tied up for the first time. We also had to tie up some so Georgia could clean them up. This young bull has not been touched for 4 months, a beautiful temperament. Raedean Quickstep is now ready for a new home, we have used him over a couple of heifers.

06.01.2022 Out checking cows today and selecting entries for the On Farm Challenge! So took a few pics while out and about.
06.01.2022 Presentations today for the On Farm Challenge. We are excited with our placings against strong competition. Hillandale Red Jude J18 taking out 1st place in the open cow class (largest and stongest class), Raedean Brooke L7 was 4th, (equal 4th) Raedean Joanne N19 was 3rd in the 2-3yo class (calved down that morning). We also placed 3rd in the open group of 5 cows all Raedean females. Photos to follow when to hand. Red Angus also celebrated 50 years in Australia! A fantastic number of old and new faces came together to celebrate.

05.01.2022 Have brought home most of the heifers and steers to wean them a much reduced group after selling females and heifer calves to new Red Angus breeders.
