08.01.2022 Last week, on Zoom, Canberra's own, LTCOL Keirin Joyce, described the current status of ADF UAS, and discussed the path to a highly autonomous future. Here's the recording! Vid edit credit to #RoguePerspectives, two cool Canberra STEM'ers with camera skills. ADF investment in unmanned aerial systems is increasing and is expected to exceed $20 billion over the next decade. The three services are seeking to exploit the advantages these systems and are seeking to expand their roles in supporting their operational capabilities. The UAS platforms range from the the smallest hand held devices to full-scale aircraft and each present challenges in their effective use and support.
