25.01.2022 Recently, we have visited a number of clients who have been told they need to replace their reverse cycle split a/c units, when in actual fact these unit could be easily repaired at a fraction of the cost. Most of the time when an a/c unit break down, the unit can be repaired by a qualified refrigeration mechanic. We urge all our clients to be aware of their warentee entitlements and to get second opinion if they are told to replace an existing system.

23.01.2022 During these warmer summer month, when you have your air conditioning blasting, it is essential to make sure you clear all plant debris (leaves etc) from around the outdoor unit of you reverse cycle split systems or evaporative coolers. 07.01.2022 Today we visited yet another client who was told that they had to replace an air conditioning unit that was an easy fix. It seems to be a regular occurrence these days, that people are being told that they need to replace their whole reverse cycle split system when the unit can be easily fixed. We urge all clients to get a second opinion if they are told they need to replace an air conditioning unit, as it may be fixable for a fraction of the cost.

05.01.2022 Geckos and bugs around the outdoor unit of your reverse cycle split system can cause your air conditioning to break down. These creatures can get inside your unit and cause short circuiting on the internal electronics. This can be costly to repair. To prevent this from happening spray the perimeter of the outdoor unit of your reverse cycle split system with, for example, "bugs no more". This preventative measure could ensure you have cooling all summer AND could save you money.

03.01.2022 If air filters of reverse cycle split systems are not cleaned regularly the system will not cool or heat. Recently, we have been to a number of calls where blocked air filter has been the problem. Now we have reverse cycle heating and cooling, so using systems all year round, it is important to regularly clean your air filters to make sure you have good climate control. Additionally, filters in kitchen areas need to be de-greased, as cooking by-products will regularly block these particular units. Most importantly, if your system is still under manufacturers warentee, your warentee will be void if your air filters are blocked. So making sure you keep your air filters clean and debris free to keep your reverse cycle split system system working efficiently.
