17.01.2022 These guys are feeling too confident after upgrading their switchboard. When you upgrade from fuses to RCD switches you are dramatically reducing the risk of electric shock and/or injury for everyone in your home. A fuse is designed to protect the cable, because once the cable reaches its maximum amp rating it will trip but this can take time.... An RCD is designed to protect people, it detects a fault or imbalance between the active and neutral - faulty wiring, appliance anything. The RCD will trip instantly. Note: Even with RCD's you're an idiot if you put powerboards in your pool.

03.01.2022 Why Test your Smoke Alarms? Though most of us won't test our smoke alarm once per month as recommended, it is good to test it when you do remember. By pushing the button you'll know that the batteries are working, but you'll need smoke to know the unit is working properly. Just light 2-3 matches and smoke up the alarm to set it off. ... Give the unit a good dusting with a broom or vacuum to prevent dust clogging and interfering, we recommend against cleanings prays around the unit as this can contaminate the sensors. Although alarms should last 10 years, this is not always the case. Remember to replace batteries twice per Year. Good to note that professionally installed alarms are far more reliable than battery operated alarms. Call me for any questions Finlay 0449 856 283
