01.01.2022 FAT LOSS MYTH: Eating less will allow me to burn fat Talking to so many people who are practicing this has pushed me to raise awareness here! If you are practically consuming minimal calories and training/exercising/ spending a lot of energy you are NOT going to shed fat. You ARE however at RISK of the following:... 1. Body will adapt to lower calorie intake and reset metabolism. As your body is not getting the energy required it WILL STORE FAT as an energy source! 2. You won't be effectively fuelling your training workload therefore will run risk of injury, soreness, overtraining and will NOT progress! 3. Your digestion will be impacted in some way - this will lead to increased stress and bad recovery. 4. No one sleeps well when they are hungry. Going to sleep on an empty stomach will not guarantee enough deep, quality sleep and you will NOT recover. 5. Eating minimal calories is NOT sustainable or enjoyable! You will be craving a lot of food and once you are forced to eat more chances are you will overeat to compensate and blame another "diet" for not working or helping you achieve your goals!
