24.01.2022 We thought it’s about time we introduce you to our chef and main man Yibalo!! Yibalo hails from Jacmel, Haiti. He has the most beautiful stories of traditions and Caribbean life; as we go we will take time to chronicle some of these for you. The main thing that we want you to know is that this man is every inch authentic, absurdly generous and is his highest critic. The food he makes comes from a deep well of Créole inspiration and flavour. Here he is with our Fish Cu...rry meal deal: barramundi, black rice (made black from a mushroom that grows on the mountainside in Haiti), pikles, passionfruit hot sauce, akra (taro fritas), avocado and lime Annnnd our Okra Salsa: okra and peas with our seasoned garlic rice, avocado and lime. 10.01.2022 Our signs are go! This little sign has been lovingly and carefully painted by the whole fam over the last couple of weeks! We have a big day ahead of us, getting some of the last touches done on the ‘shop’ as we are affectionately starting to call it. 05.01.2022 Update: wet weather has meant that we have postponed our opening party for @ragucreolecuisine til next Saturday 19th of September. It will give us a chance to make sure things are extra special. So looking forward to celebrating this new chapter with our beloved community. FYI though, if you do feel like venturing out this weekend, we’ll be there, putting on our bravest face and selling our spiced cacao and fish curry to keep you warm!!!
