22.01.2022 NOTICE OF CHANGE TO MEETINGS Kentish Council meetings are again open for public attendance from Tuesday 15 September 2020. The meeting room now has technology ...installed which allows Council to have a ‘split meeting’, giving Councillors the option to attend remotely while also providing limited options to attend face-to-face. Allowing for appropriate social distancing rules and the limited spaces available, it is recommended that members of the public wishing to attend RSVP prior to each meeting by calling Council on 6491 0200. Members of the public who would prefer not to attend but would like to ask questions of the Council that would normally be heard during the Public Question Time, can provide their question on notice to the General Manager by 4.30pm on the Friday before each meeting, by emailing [email protected] or post to PO Box 63, Sheffield Tas 7306.

21.01.2022 MAYORS MESSAGE 15 SEPTEMBER I would like to thank Kendal McIntree and her young son Angus for their work in cleaning up 22 bags of rubbish in the Stoodley Beulah area recently. Angus wanted to see the area cleaned up so they got busy. We will not let the litterers win. Well done Angus and Kendal. Council has recently developed a draft Mobile Food Vending Policy which provides an avenue for mobile food businesses to trade on Council land or roads outside of any event/festival/...market. The Policy has identified four potential locations that will provide no or limited impact on existing food businesses. Should you wish to provide feedback, please email Council at: [email protected] by Friday 6 November, 2020. The documents are available on the Council website https://www.kentish.tas.gov.au/council/public-notices. Council has released a request for quote for an artist/s to provide an initial Concept Design for public art installations for the Main Street Revitalisation Project. The documents are available on the Council website https://www.kentish.tas.gov.au/council/public-notices. Submissions close midnight, Monday, 21 September 2020. After a long break, Tasmazia and the Village of Lower Crackpot has reopened. We welcome this icon back. Cricket season will reopen on Saturday, 3rd October with Sheffield Cricket Club’s 20/21 Season Launch. This year Sheffield Cricket will launch a female program following on from the success of both the Female First Grade and Second Grade competitions. A reminder that if you are experiencing genuine financial hardship, Council has a Financial Hardship Policy that offers flexible rate postponement plans, remission of rates, and/or remission of late payment penalties or interest. Contact Council on 6491 0200 or [email protected] to discuss your eligibility. Council meets tomorrow night for the September meeting. Please book a seat if you would like to attend.

14.01.2022 We have some lost sheep in our topiary paddock that have wandered from the police house. We can't get them back and no one's home. Worried they may go through our fence onto the road. Does anyone have a contact to return them safely?
