25.01.2022 Fun on the Maydena to Florentine run. This tour includes a historic display and a scenic forest walk when you arrive at the Florentine Station. During this time, the riders are turned around by your guide for the return trip.

22.01.2022 National Park Station now open! During January, the National Park Station is open Thursday to Sunday. Stay a few days and explore Mt Field National Park and the stunning wilderness and activities on offer in the region.

18.01.2022 It gives me great pleasure to announce we now have another railtrack rider! Meet 'Gordon' number '9' Photos of 'As he comes to life' on our assembly line. Gordon won't be in service for a few more weeks but you will be able to go for a rail adventure this weekend with Thomas other friends at either Maydena rail station or National Park rail station.

18.01.2022 Today we cleared some fallen trees that have been blocking vehicular access to the Florentine station. Lots of work goes on behind the scenes to ensure you all have a great rail adventure.

09.01.2022 Latest workshop news. Fabrication of 'Gordon' rider number 9. Only signs and drive chains to go!

09.01.2022 Railtrack Rider no 9 'Gordon' is ready for a test run! This rider has been totally fabricated at Maydena rail station. Wheels, frame, axel's painting, signs, we have not outsourced anything. I am proud to say it has taken 12 years of hard work. We are finally a small manufacturer. Australia's first and still the Only commercially operating pedal railway! A big thank you to all the great people that have helped the Maydena Community Association Inc. achieve a worthwhile project for Tasmania.

09.01.2022 Over the last few months we have been enjoying lots of Tasmanian's traveling to Maydena and enjoying our rail adventures ride 1, to the Florentine, and ride 2 to Pig & Whistle. Bookings have been filled quickly! this comming weekend Saturday 17th October has booked out but Sunday 18th has a few places available.

09.01.2022 Hi everyone, finally we will be open for Railtrack adventures. We will be operating from Monday 15th. Our start up- Winter Timetable at Maydena. Monday: 11am, 1pm. Tuesday: 11am, 1pm. Saturday: 11am, 1pm. Sunday: 11am, 1pm.... We have only 4 riders available on each ride. (2 adults each rider families can be arranged ) We are working on our Covid safety plan and signage over the next week. Please book by texting Geoff 0427206864 it's winter so look at the weather as we won't operate in rainy or windy conditions. We will be updating our web page soon. *Please remember only Maydena will be operating over winter. National Park will remain closed until September. See more

04.01.2022 As we start our Winter period from tomorrow 1st May 2021, we will be only operating on Sundays. Please remember to make your booking via our web site. The weather does dictate what type of rail adventure you have. Please beware strong wind or heavy rain may cancel the day. If that happens we will contact you to arrange an appropriate measure like- arrange another day or gift certificate or a refund.
