21.01.2022 Well what an interesting weekend with the weather conditions! Saturday morning warm & sunny, Saturday lunch time rain & hail, Saturday evening the best part of 25mm of rain at Wyangala Dam. Yet some of our members braved the miserable conditions and battled through it, you know who you are! As for the results. Well bugger all fish were weighed in, but what were weighed in were of good size. Young Ben Howarth can hold his head high and has done the Club proud with his four Ye...llowbelly. The heaviest fish coming in @ 1.35kg. Bens bag of four fish was heavy enough to take out the Junior Shield. Congratulations Ben. The Mens Shield was taken out this year by the Wayangala Boys with a single Yellowbelly being weighed in. The Womens Shield was retained by the Boorowa Fishing Club as no fish were presented by women at weigh in. It was good to see a good turn out at the weigh in to commemorate 100 years of the ANZAC's. Well done to everyone!

20.01.2022 A big thank you to the few members that turned up for the AGM & Presentations. Due to a declining memberships & interest in the Club we have made the difficult decision to suspend activity within the Club for a period of 12 months. We will still participate in the ANZAC Shield held in April 2016 and hopefully generate enough interest to host the Trevor Lang Memorial Shield in October/November 2015. Thank you for those people that 'liked' our Facebook page, but unfortunately those 'likes' don't equate to Club memberships. The outgoing committee would like to thank all the members that turned up on a regular basis weighing in fish and supporting the Club. Wishing everyone all the best in their future fishing trips. Cheers.

17.01.2022 Just a reminder to everyone, TODAY is the Clubs Annual Presentations & AGM. Kicking off at 12.00pm at The Railway Hotel Beer Garden. Hoping to see everyone there!

15.01.2022 It's that time of year again when the Wyangala Fishing Club hosts its inter-club challenge for the coveted ANZAC Shield. This consist of the Wyangala Fishing Club, Railway Hotel Fishing Club, Aussie Hotel fishing Club & Boorowa Fishing Club battling for three individual shields that being the Men's, Ladies & Juniors. Fishing kicks off at 11am Saturday 25th and concludes 11am Sunday 26th, so basically you fish for a 24hr period. Weigh-in will be at the Country Club at approx 1...2pm with lunch to follow in the Bistro at 1.00pm. The Wyangala Fishing Club is also strongly supporting 'Catch & Release' fishing especially for Murray Cod. You are able to take your own brag-mat and photo the fish as long as it is nice and clear and the size is clearly visible. Any blurry photo's will be to the discretion of the Wyangala Fishing Club Committee. For catering purposes, the Bistro at the Country Club needs some firm numbers of the patrons staying for lunch as last year there was a lot of wasted food. Lunch will be approx $10 per head. So if you are going to fish in the Anzac Shield please either inbox me or call on 0427 426661 and let me know some catering numbers. We need to let them know no later than Sunday evening. Cheers.

14.01.2022 Lee Felton & Ian Trethewey ventured out to a local dam for the weekend. The pictures say it all! Just a sample of the fish for the weekend.
