15.01.2022 Sabah (Borneo), Malaysia and Thailand Rail Tour .... We are planning to repeat this tour again in the future and would like to gauge interest in this tour. We fly to Kota Kinabalu and travel on the Sabah State Railway to Tenom and return plus sightsee in Sabah. Then to either Singapore or Kuala Lumpur (depending on what KTM Malaysia Railways are up to and then up through Malaysia to Butterworth for Penang. Train to Hat Yai and then on up through Thailand by train to Bangkok.... From here we do day trips to the River Kwai, around the Bay of Thailand and on the special steam train excursion to Ayutthaya, plus to the Cambodian border by train. Optional add-on by train to Chaing Mai. We include all hotels, breakfasts, hotel/rail transfers and rail tickets. Airfares we can also organise as some of the tour group may come from the UK, Europe or USA. KTM Malaysia Railways have changed all their services so we are finding out the new schedules . They basically cancelled all long distance trains and our Malaysia operators are speaking with KTM as to what is now possible. 07.01.2022 We have just completed our 2nd successful UK HERITAGE RAILWAYS TOUR and now sorting through the photos - hundreds of them.... A great group again which makes for a great tour ! Everything went according to plan with wonderful weather apart for 1 day - again the day we went up Snowdon it rained. If you are going to the UK and up Snowdon ensure you book onto the STEAM train .......it is worth every penny. Soon we will put more onto this page about the tour as we had so many great experiences as we 'steamed' around Britain .....and everyone even got to drive a steam loco from the footplate !
