23.01.2022 This term most classes have been writing information reports on animals as part of our term 3 English unit. Today 3 of our junior school classes had the opportunity to go to Billabong Sanctuary to consolidate their learning about Australian animals Fun was had by all students and adults!

22.01.2022 Book week is next week! Children are invited to dress up for a book parade on Wednesday 21st of October. Theme is Wild Minds!

21.01.2022 Thankyou to the firefighters from Townsville’s Queensland Fire and Rescue for teaching our Prep/1 and 1/2 classes about the importance of fire safety. The students practiced ‘get down low and GO GO GO’ and ‘Stop, drop and roll’ and were even treated to a go on the fire hose! Even some of the big kids (the teachers) were able to have a go. A lot of fun was had!

07.01.2022 In Design Technology, 2/3G have been exploring characteristics and properties of materials. We have also been looking at different components used to produce designed solutions. We had a lot of fun designing and constructing a puppet with moving parts to use in a puppet show. We used different materials and created paper plate and paper bag puppets.

06.01.2022 You will find SNOW MUCH TO READ at this year's Arctic Adventure Book Fair! There will be a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. Students will view the Book Fair with their classes on Monday and Tuesday, and buying will commence on Wednesday-Friday. Unfortunately this year due to COVID-19 restrictions, parents/carers will not be allowed on school grounds. We encourage you to either send in the money with your child on buying days O...R prepay for your books online using the information on the back of your childs' Wish List (then sending it back with your child to collect their books). Photos of each book case and prices will be uploaded to the school's Facebook page next week. We look forward to having your support for this year's Book Fair! Remember, all purchases benefit our school.

01.01.2022 Throughout the term, 5/6M earned class money during their HASS lessons which they could cash in at the end of term for a prize. A small group of students pooled their money together to makeover Mrs Francis. Before and after shots included. They have appointments available for the brave. Well done 5/6M, and Mrs Francis who has to stay in this all day!

01.01.2022 This Friday the 30th of October we are participating in Day for Daniel, raising awareness around safety for children. Students are encouraged to wear red and bring a gold coin donation to support the Daniel Morcombe Foundation.
