25.01.2022 Access ramp completed.

23.01.2022 There’s still plenty of activity at Temora’s old Railway Station,,,, today saw 42 wheat wagons pass through the station hauled by 4 powerful diesel locomotives out the Griffith line,,, but not before there was a change of crew.

22.01.2022 BFB’s new rail siding delivered,,, now it’s off to Coonamble to deliver the rest.

19.01.2022 Railway Temora has re-opened and accommodating small groups of up to five for each given area of the station buildings. Social distancing rules apply.

18.01.2022 We don’t often get passenger trains at Temora’s railway station now days! So here are some pictures from the Paterson Rail Motor Society’s recent visit.

16.01.2022 The Cruise Express. These CPH rail motors are nearly 100 years old and still going strong.

14.01.2022 A new life for what was once Gidginbung’s Old Railway Station Waiting Room. The building is now located in the railway precinct at Temora’s free RV & caravan park. After volunteers restore it to its original condition, it will provide a curiosity for the many visitors to the caravan park. It will have information about the railway as well as pictures of those glory days gone bye. It will also provide information about Temora, places to go and thing to do. Or indeed, this old building might just provide a place for visitors to sit, relax and enjoy cup of coffee or a glass of wine. What ever,,, this old railway heritage building is now saved and will have a new purpose.

06.01.2022 The outside painting almost done. Thanks very much to a couple of Grey Nomads,,, Kevin & Lou and one of Boofheads long lost relatives (Billy) for lending a hand. The roof has one coat on with one to go,, a bit of touch up paint here & there then the hand rails. Melissa and some of her youth team have volunteered to paint the inside to help us out as well. Thanks in advance!

06.01.2022 For some 105 years Temora’s signals box has withstood the test of time and many extreme weather events. However, during Temora’s most recent severe wind storm the roof had been completely blown off. Special thanks has to be given to Temora Shire Council’s Environmental Director, Kris Dunstan and John Holland Group’s Grant Warren for quickly organising the repairs needed which will continue to preserve this transport heritage building for many more years to come.

05.01.2022 Very frustrating,,, Temora Shire Heritage Committee together with our dedicated volunteers work hard to make the local railway precinct an informative and pleasant place for visitors,,,,,and this happens.

04.01.2022 This sign was donated to Railway Temora after it was found at the local tip. It was used in the days of before Temora had its grain silos. It was designed for farmers and contractors who were delivering bagged wheat to Temora’s railway grain sheds. It was to stop people from parking on Victoria Street level crossing while they were progressing in the queue.
