25.01.2022 The beauty of Tin Can Bay is that it’s protected by Fraser Island, making it the perfect spot to get out on the water For all the details, visit https://bit.ly/Tin-Can-Bay
23.01.2022 Channel 7 Double Island Point UHF repeater is provided for long distance communication in mobile phone black spot areas. We politely ask convoys and close range... users NOT to use channel 7 or 37 while in the areas of and surrounding Rainbow Beach, Noosa or K'gari Fraser Island. However community organisations and government bodies have the capacity to monitor Ch 7 D.I. Repeater and if important communication is necessary in our coverage area, turn your UHF to channel 7 with the duplex turned on and transmit your message. Double Island Point UHF Repeater Committee is a non for profit organisation and provides this service for your safety and relies on public support and donations for its survival. See more

Rangers found the campsite covered in sand and still radiating heat at the Duling Camp Zone on the Eastern Beach. 17.01.2022 Dear Customers, We have only just found out that Fraser Island will be closed as of 5pm today due to the bush fire and deteriorating conditions. We will be oper...ating tomorrow morning as of 6am to bring all visitors back from Fraser Island. We do not know how long we need to close down operations or when Fraser Island will be back opened for visitors. We will put daily posts up to keep everyone updated and we will be in close communication with QPWS. But as of today we are unable to issue any vehicle or camping permits or barge tickets until we hear that Fraser Island bushfire is back under control
