15.01.2022 I WANT TO TEACH YOU HOW TO DRAW PORTRAITS How are you supposed to know your Talents if you have never tried, learnt or been taught Is it actually possible to draw a Portrait when you have never done it before? could you learn? Are you too old to start! ... I wonder if you’ve tried to draw a portrait and nothing has quite worked for you, right!! Can you find the TIME to go to classes _and be with other likeminded people especially now while we're in lockdown? Is it so nerve-racking to ‘have a go? Is learning how to draw really beyond you? Can you get proficient at drawing portraits without being shown how? and when should you start to learn? Should you even begin learning? STOP. JUST STOP. If any (or all) of the above questions ever run through your head I might be able to help. Hey, it's me, Dawn Lim. _ While I don't claim to know it all, I HAVE helped __at least 100 children and Adults improve their drawing skills by giving portrait lessons, and I could do that because I had to learn all over again. you see I’ve been in your shoes because I hadn’t drawn a portrait for over 20 years. it was hard for me too because I had drawn from a little girl and knew I could do better, I was amazed at my inability to get perspectives right, a nose the right length, or eyes in the right place, Anyways, if that's kind of how you feel right now and you would love to draw a Portrait, but darn’t even dream about it, Let me give you a road map, so that you stop thinking you can't do it and instead take the fast lane to drawing a family member, grandkids or your own children. I have discovered how to show you by what I have observed and taught myself this time round. Let me show you that you can do it Here is what I’m proposing. I’ve had people, even a principal of The Elmhurst school, Alison Cheater, reach out asking for my help to learn to draw portraits, so she could enjoy drawing in her retirement. So, I had this crazy idea to build a step by step plan to guide you, from being scared to even try, to achieve a family member portrait in 6 weeks. No fluff.
