24.01.2022 Wow, what an amazing vacation care at East Ballina! East Ballina Vacation Care During vacation care we were visited by Eli from 'YIDABAL Gali' Ma who taught the children indigenous games, language as well as teaching them how to throw Boomerangs and spears. The children were so excited to be able to learn. We created our very own succulent gardens by up-cycling tin cans and decorating them to get them ready to plant our succulent cuttings that were donated by some of our f...amilies. We had a massive box construction day where children used their creativity to design and make their own cubby houses , shops and quiet play spaces that they used throughout the day and the remainder of the holidays. We were visited by Brads fitness Kidz who provided some fantastic fun filled games and activities for the children to partake in. There were three legged races, balloon competitions, parachute play and some super soaker fun! See more

20.01.2022 CENTRAL BALLINA VACATION CARE with so many highlights it's hard just to choose a few. BLUE DAY was a great opportunity for us to promote mental health awareness. We were able to enjoy lots of sensory activities including play dough, cornflour goop, sand mandalas and some butterfly body scan relaxation. the children also worked together to create stress balls to take home. TRUCK STOP SK8 is always popular with the children. It worked well breaking into smaller groups based on ...skills and confidence which allowed both groups to get the most out of the session. It is great to see the development of the children that attend this incursion regularly. OUR SPORTS DAY saw the children and staff compete in a range of challenges including a tug-o-war (that was won by the children of course), skipping challenges and handball challenges.

14.01.2022 Central Ballina Vacation Care Social distancing and no excursions or incursions saw us think out of the box. We had self portrait day educator and children role reversal day, now that was so much fun. A big thank you to all the children who attended and while it was different you guys just got on with it and had fun and so did we.

13.01.2022 Lennox Head Vacation Care Thank you to all the children who attended our vacation care program though it was very different for us all you guys amazed us with your ability to adapt to these strange times and have fun.. We all look forward to our lives returning to normal soon.

08.01.2022 Such a fun eventful Vacation Care at our Teven Tintenbar Service Some our highlights were leaving the service for excursions down to our Lennox Head Service. We continued our learning of riding skateboards from Tony and the boys from Truck Stop SK8. Watching the wildlife twins show to continue our interests of animals. The 1990s day we had great feedback from the children about this day. The children enjoyed the dress up theme day coming in 90's fashion. Throughout the day t...he children had the opportunity to join in a guessing competition of 90's technology (this was the best, some of the answers were hilarious). The standout of the day from all the children was playing "an old fashioned game" the Nintendo 64. The feedback was 'this is the best game' and 'I want to buy one. Wheels days are always a highlight for the children at Vacation Care this holiday we had two following the children's request. We enjoyed lovely neighborhood rides, getting out and meeting our neighbours and finding beautiful trees. The children made their own obstacle courses, which they had to follow on their wheels. The children are already planning the Christmas holidays with many fun activities. See more

05.01.2022 Central Ballina OOSHC had a special visitor today. Brad from Fitness Kidz Everyone was able to join in lots of physical activities that had us running, throwing and laughing. Even the staff could hardly resist the temptation of joining in. We look forward to having Brad revisit and share lots more games with us through out term three, Let's Get Active Kids Comments: It was the best day of my life. From Amalia... 04.01.2022 EAST BALLINA VACATION CARE 2021 has been busy with lots of great activities and plenty more fun activities to come. Northern Rivers Jumping Castle Water Slide so much fun. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BOOKING THEM AGAIN. Wheels day is always popular and dry needle felting is heaps of fun creating a felted masterpiece to take home.
