22.01.2022 Are you interested in egg freezing and what the process involves? Visit our website to learn more! https://buff.ly/3f7xIhJ ** What is involved in egg freezing? ** If you are interested in egg freezing you will first meet with a specialist, who will make sure you are medically healthy. A fertility coordinator will explain the process, medication and any potential risks or side effects of treatment if you decide to go ahead.... ** What are the stages of egg freezing? ** The IVF for Egg Freezing treatment cycle generally follows these stages: 1. Pre-treatment tests and preparation. 2. IVF treatment information and discussion. 3. Follicle growth treatment fertility medications are used to stimulate the ovaries and promote the growth of follicles containing the eggs. 4. Monitoring of follicle growth developing follicles are monitored with ultrasound and/or blood tests to control their size and quantity. 5. Egg collection once follicles are large enough, theyre carefully emptied to collect the eggs. This procedure is performed by the treating specialist after the patient has been given general anaesthetic or light sedation. 6. Vitrification eggs are frozen and placed in storage in liquid nitrogen. ** How long can I store my eggs? ** Rainbow Fertility is proud to provide our patients with 6 months of free storage. Additionally if you wish to sore your eggs for a longer period of time, the standard storage period for eggs is 10 years. This period can be exceeded only in certain circumstances. 21.01.2022 To all of our Victorian patients, please visit our website for the full update under the 'Important Information for patients' section. If you have any additional questions please contact our friendly staff. https://www.rainbowfertility.com.au/covid-19-patient-frequ/ .......... All of our Victorian patients can commence or continue treatment at Rainbow Fertility.... The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has imposed guidelines for pre-operative COVID-19 testing for all elective surgical patients from Wednesday, 15 July 2020. Rainbow Fertility is advising all patients that are undergoing elective procedures in hospital, such as Egg pick up, that they will be required to undertake preoperative COVID-19 testing at least 3-5 days prior to their admission date. This will likely take place on the same day as your first scan with your fertility specialist. Your doctor will advise you about this. Patients must self-isolate within their household immediately after they have had their COVID-19 test until their admission to hospital. Your procedure may be cancelled by the hospital if you do not comply with this requirement. Surgery cannot be undertaken without a confirmed COVID-19 negative test.
20.01.2022 Hormone therapy and/or sex-reassignment surgery (SRS) are a big, and exciting step. At Rainbow Fertility, we encourage birth-designated females to consider fertility preservation options such as egg or embryo freezing before undergoing SRS and/or hormone therapy. It will give you the freedom to have genetically related children in the future should you want to. ** What is egg freezing? ** If youre a birth-designated female who wants to have your eggs frozen, youll need to ...go through the Egg Pick-Up part of the IVF cycle. During this process the eggs are retrieved and frozen for future use. When youre ready to become a parent, they can be inseminated with donor or male partner sperm. ** What is embryo freezing? ** Alternatively, you can have embryos frozen. For this, youll need to undergo an IVF cycle to retrieve and fertilise the eggs (with either donor or male partner sperm) to create the embryos, before freezing them for future use. ** How long can I store my eggs and embryos? ** Rainbow Fertility is proud to provide our patients with 6 months of FREE storage. Additionally if you wish to store your eggs or embryos for a longer period of time, the standard storage period for eggs is 10 years and for embryos 5 years. This period can be exceeded only in certain circumstances. If you are interested in more information, please either visit our website or call our friendly staff at 1300 222 623

01.01.2022 by @teabag.cartoon. A wonderful post from @lgbtq & @teabag.cartoon on the usage of labels. What are your thoughts? .... #REPOST from @lgbtq... What are your thoughts on labels? Read on for some of ours! Our community has a complex relationship with labels. When it comes down to it, labels are like any other word a means to communicate something. They can be empowering and validating. They have been used as banners for progress and to create safe spaces for the marginalized. Then again, they have also been used as tools to shame and degrade us. More to the point, communicating something that is as complex and fluid as your sexual and/or gender identity can be tricky. The truth is that labels are not compulsory. You can identify with none, one, or multiple. You can wear them on your sleeve, or keep them to yourself, and you are free to fluctuate within this space. Despite how restrictive labels can seem, you have the freedom to decide. We aim to provide a safe space for you to work that out for yourself!
