07.01.2022 For the last few years women from the local prison have been helping with the weaving of cloth ready for the making of bags. This provides a small wage for the women but importantly, gives them a skill for when they are released. I asked if I could visit the prison to see where and how this work is done. The women were very friendly and hospitable. They have one main room where the weaving is done. There are 59 women in the prison at this time. 19 or 20 to one bedroom and bathroom facilities. Thank you Urmila for taking me there. Sorry no photos as I wasn't allowed to take anything inside.
