25.01.2022 Introducing another two of our mentors
24.01.2022 Yesterday Nicholas Perley purchased this manual ergonomic height adjusting table. Thankyou for your wonderful donation Nick. We also purchased some new chairs for the room. They are lime green and have some padding, can take up to 150kg and have a ten year warranty. We have purchased some with arms and some without, to cater for people’s needs.
24.01.2022 Thankyou to my husband Adrian Eckermann for assisting me to flatten the dirt mounds out ready for the rotary hoe!
23.01.2022 Over the past few weeks our family has been living with the news that Will had a malignant tumour on his right shoulder. After 2 biopsies, 2 ultrasounds and a c...hest X-ray it was diagnosed as a melanoma . He has since had an MRI and today a PET scan at RPA in Sydney The results have come back and there is NO spread. It has remained local in his shoulder which is great news Will will have an operation on the 21 September to remove the tumour and talk about treatment. We are very confident as he has had the best surgeons on his team from the start Where There’s a Will has never meant as much as it does now. He has proven to be so incredibly strong and resilient. He has stepped up to every test and taken them head on Will has had his team at every moment. Beautiful Caitie and Phoebe thank you for holding him and loving him every step of the way. The strength of his Dad and unwavering support of his friends and family Will is otherwise very healthy and fit and there is no change to his daily life. Our amazing inspiration Will, has shown us time and time again what it means to rise. Thank you to the community of Rainbow for the beautiful bat signed by every one of your artists as well as the flowers Belinda E x

21.01.2022 Exciting day ahead with the Come and Try Day! Lots to do and have a go of! The making (and eating) of yummy waffles, the decoration of signs for the sensory garden, ... the making of pocket rocks for someone who needs them and decorative pebbles and sculptures for the garden, opportunities to plant cuttings and succulents for future plantings or money raising, the opportunity to play some music or have a sing, To have a coffee and chat or just read a book. It’s up to you! Come along, ask questions, grab an info pack or register your interest in the program or in being able to offer a specific service to help the program. Maybe you would like to bring your own crafts or just come to watch. Or maybe you would like to assist others! All welcome, but please bring your masks and remember social distancing. Come and see what opportunities this program will provide and how we can help you. Let us know what YOU need to feel included.

16.01.2022 Big thankyou to Paulien Batt for her donation of buttons, ribbons, lace, wool, pencils, material, bows and cottons to add to our supplies. Also a big thankyou to Wendy Fisher who has offered a whole heap of tiles and glass shapes for mosaics...these will be perfect for one of our planned projects for the sensory garden! Thankyou to Ally Harper for her pot of herbs and Mary Graetz for some plants. We have also had some people mention plants they can donate when it’s time, so ...thanks! If people could perhaps pot up plant donations and look after them until we have the garden ready to plant, this would be greatly appreciated and easier for me during this time. If you have plants to donate, do not hesitate to message me so we can make contact when we are ready and so we know what types of plants we have. Thanks, Belinda Project Coordinator and President of RICSAA Inc.
14.01.2022 Naomi has been suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in which it has dramatically affected her ability to do everyday tasks. It is rare to see her out and about now. But today she came and helped with the garden and will be participating in our program. This service is being set up to help people like Naomi to feel less isolated and more included as she grapples with this debilitating illness and explores her abilities. (Naomi gave permission to post this story).
12.01.2022 Thanks to Julie and Jon Fuller for donating this wonderful desk to the Innovation Centre.

11.01.2022 I have four sanded cricket bats if anyone wants one to paint/decorate during isolation to help raise more money for the innovation centre. Let me know if you are interested.
10.01.2022 Looking for something crafty to do during lockdown? How good would some of these look in our sensory garden?!! Feel free to make some if you want! Follow this tutorial. https://youtu.be/Ddh0hlE1A5Q
08.01.2022 Will Clarke, the inspiration behind Where There’s a Will and all the painted bats which allowed us to start this program up, was recently diagnosed with a malignant melanoma tumour in his shoulder. He has been undergoing biopsies, xrays, and will have a PET scan and an MRI before having an operation. So I organised a rainbow bat from our community and he just received it in the mail. This bat has been signed by 123 locals. We wish Will all the best as we follow him through this journey and support him from our end of the rainbow. If you didn’t have the opportunity to sign this bat, don’t stress. You are free to make your own rainbow picture for him to place up on his wall. Just let me know and I will send it off for you. Xx
08.01.2022 Huge day today and a massive result which came from it! Today we managed to plant 155+ plants into the sensory garden and hook up a dripper system. Thankyou to Lynne McKenzie and Llew Schilling for working so hard on the dripper system to ensure it functions well with next to no maintenance for us. Thanks to Ruth Gosling, Bernard and Barbara Young, Naomi White and Colleen Petschel for helping me set out, plant and water the plants in. Thanks to Anne Simms for cooking some lo...vely morning tea for us and potting yo plants ready for the next planting session. Also a big thankyou to those community members who donated plants for today: Mary Graetz, Carolynne Cocks, Graham Nuske and Joy Fuller. It’s amazing what we can achieve in such a short space of time when working together as a team!! The garden has plants which smell like chocolate, lemon, curry, lavender, rosemary, etc it ranges in blues, purples, pinks, oranges, reds, yellows, whites plus various greens of foliage. Some plants are furry, some have soft spikes, some look fluffy.
07.01.2022 Big thankyou to Daniel (Ike) Eckermann for Rotary Hoeing the garden area this morning.
