23.01.2022 During my travels I've had a lot of time to reflect on where I'm at in life. I pull up at places of interest that call to me. Whether beautiful, mesmorising or just plain curious looking lol. Some at the end of bumpy windy roads difficult to navigate alongside other travellers or with sun in my eyes or rain hitting the windscreen impairing my vision. With each though, I park my little Gypsy Wagon, turn to my daughter and say "let's do it!" and make choices as to how I am go...ing to experience what we've found. Many a time I have caught my own internal dialogue and smiled. Like, "Sure that waterfall looks stunning from up here at the lookout 200m from the Carpark BUT you're here now and may never be again SO get ya butt down that steep windy dirt path to the pool at the bottom of the falls, you know you want to right?!" LOL next step is to push aside the first notion of how hard and tiring it will be to walk back up. More than once these past few weeks my daughter has said to me ,"Who are you and what have you done with my mother?" She has never known me to climb so many rocks and hills or walk so many kms. What I'm getting at here is if we sit back and only experience life from the safe viewing platform, we miss out on the texture and feel of our own efforts fully immersing ourselves in living. So, simply a reminder, make your own and walk your own path no matter how rocky it may first appear. Fear and complacency are not ideal travelling companions in life. See more

13.01.2022 Had the last few days in Wellington and Dubbo checking out the local surrounds. Also visited the new interactive Royal Flying Doctors Service Museum which was 1...st class and very interesting indeed and a night time self directed tour of the Old Dubbo Gaol by lantern light. We were the only ones there wandering the corridors and grounds and was just eerie enough for my daughter to get her spooks on lol. We have moved north through Gilgandra and now at Coonabarabran NSW the Astronomy Capital of Australia. I've gotta say, yesterday afternoon is the highlight of our trip so far. Exploring the Sandstone Caves just north of here was amazing. A feeling of being so far removed from civilisation is the best medicine. 90mins of wandering, sitting, exploring and imagining in a stunning environment aahhhh bliss! #GamilaraayCountry #LivinTheDream See more
