24.01.2022 Credit: Thank you to Mr Aaron Doulton for sharing this important message.
24.01.2022 Empathy and empowerment are key lessons within the Rainbows curriculum. RBG and SYM understood the power of community, and we will work to continue to create it for our youth.
20.01.2022 SILVER LININGS COMMUNITY CRISIS RESPONSE PROGRAM Rainbows WA has recently launched its new, updated Community Crisis Response program. This resource is ideal for agencies and organisations who assist children and families during community crisis events such as natural disasters e.g. bushfires and floods, acts of violence or civil unrest that occurs in a community. This program is an important tool that provides emotional strength to our youth when their lives are changing ...due to outside influences. It is available in three levels; children aged 5-8, 9-12 and adolescents. Each program runs for six sessions and consists of facilitator manuals, reproduceable participant booklets and evaluation forms. Silver Linings Indigenous Community Crisis Response is designed for indigenous Australians and provides suitable culturally-supportive books and material. Contact Rainbows WA for further information on how this program may be useful for your school or community setting. https://beyou.edu.au//rainbows--silver-linings-community-c

11.01.2022 Robyn Dixon from Rainbows WA presented SILVER LININGS package which is an Indigenous community crisis response program for young people and communities. Robyn ...with Jane Miller from Connecting4Kids gave community members & service providers a sneak peek of the package and design in the first of many consultations, this was a wonderful opportunity for feedback and they look forward to engaging our local Elders for their valuable guidance. There are also great opportunities here for our young mob (future facilitators) who may be interested in learning to deliver the program to kids in 2021.
