07.05.2022 Always looking for lots of texture yet cool colours in our hot climate. This combination has finally come into it own.

29.04.2022 An old Apple Box tree with a pink bougainvillea weeping from it. Nature is often the best garden designer of the lot.

10.04.2022 This is one of the first gardens I helped to design. Before and after photos of Toobeah Kindergarten. This was Molly's Kindergarten/PreSchool when we first arrived at Goondiwindi

06.02.2022 So many of the gardens I have designed have eucalyptus somewhere in the garden. This is a favourite picture of mine; firstly it’s always a major feat to find plants that are happy under eucalyptus. Secondly these plant thrive in hot climates. Thirdly they are a beautiful combination. What are they? The lime green plant is Euphorbia wulfenii. The tall candle like flowers are a bulb called Eremurus.

01.02.2022 When a person comes to me to ask for help in designing their garden, these are some of the things I ask them to consider. A garden is a reflection of you. They are all beautiful in their own way. It’s important to collect things over time the things that you love and have meaning to you. Think about the colours you love, the special memories a fragrance may bring, the happiness a swing brought to your childhood or running through the sprinkler. Add those things to your garden and let it evolve. The connection you have with your own garden will make you love it more and bring a greater level of happiness.

24.01.2022 Tell me your favourite flower, shrub or tree coming into Spring

14.01.2022 August is a great time to fertilise your garden. Find some decayed horse, cow or sheep manure and apply it over your garden - if you can, 10cm deep. Or sprinkle some blood and bone over your garden. Water it in well, add a layer of mulch to keep the weeds down and keep the moisture in. Your garden will bounce away as the warmer weather arrives.

13.01.2022 I will be speaking at Dippers Home Timber & Hardware annual Ladies Night held at Moree Thursday 8th September 2016. Looking forward to a great night. Champagne, a light meal, special prizes and couple of guest speakers.
