23.01.2022 It's officially #Endometriosis awareness month! Why a whole month? Because this is a disease that affects (at least) 1 in 10 people born female, there is no cure and poor awareness and education means that on average sufferers spend 7-10 years trying to get a diagnosis. More research on this insidious disease is desperately needed, to improve our understanding of how the disease works, enable more accessible diagnosis and develop more effective treatments. 06.01.2022 Happy International Women's Day! It's an excellent coincidence that #IWD falls within #endometriosis awareness month, and the theme really resonates with our cause. A key step towards equality and equity for women is better awareness and education around women's health issues. Let's talk about periods, and not just in our circles of female friends. Let's eliminate the stigma. Let's support women's health research. 03.01.2022 After careful consideration we have decided to postpone our fundraiser event. This is based on the current advice from authorities and experts about how we can best minimise the impact of COVID-19, particularly on vulnerable groups. We understand many people are already electing to reduce social interactions and would not have felt comfortable attending an event like this, even if it involves less than 500 people. We encourage everyone to follow the health department's advice and updates, but continue to support the hospitality and entertainment industry as much as possible in this tricky time.
