This much-loved game is simple to set up and play, and it will help your child practise their working memory, which helps their brain hold on to information. You will need:... A flat surface (tray, table, shoebox, floor) A variety of objects up to 10 (relate it to the story and use food items as the objects in the game). How to play: Place 2-3 objects on a flat surface. For each turn, increase the number of objects Point to each object and name it. These books give your child lots of time to touch and feel various textures and helps them explore different senses. It also gives you more to talk about! 20.01.2022 Our preschool featured story for January is Windows by Patrick Guest and Jonathan Bentley Windows is a heart-warming and hopeful story about how different cultures and families connected during the Coronavirus pandemic. This book is a fantastic tool for families to discuss the pandemic in an approachable and understandable way.... It is very important to talk with children about complex topics, even though it might be challenging. Addressing tough issues will help your child feel safe, make sense of situations and learn about the world. Thanks to the support of the Department for Education, South Australia, our team have been busy packing and sending over 11,000 carefully-selected board and picture books this week.
