21.01.2022 It’s been a tough year for this kid. Seizures, medication trials & quarantine are just some of the hurdles he’s had to contend with. But this week he’s smashed it showing a nice improvement in his standing, 4 point & bench sitting. He was up at the crack of dawn each day to do an early morning session with his 2 besties Jessica Elizabeth & Mika Francis then off to school for his first full week back at school. He was certainly tired this afternoon & enjoyed a well deserved chill out with Mickey Mouse & a chocolate milk. Thanks to the HFSC who have helped Ryan achieve so much this week & who will be supporting him next week when he finally makes it back to NAPA for a sneeky mini intensive.

20.01.2022 Day 1 and its smiles all round Lorella & Mike both commented on how much stronger Ryan is compared with May 2019 and the goals have been set for the next 2 weeks. Continue to increase his strength in core, legs & arms Increase his body awareness that he has lost so much of over the past 2 months.

19.01.2022 Support Workers Needed! We are currently in need of 2 support workers to be added to Ryan's team. Preference will be given to people who love to play hide and seek, enjoy friendly pranks, have a vivid imagination and don't mind a change of costume. No prior skills are required as all training will be provided, however the following criteria need to be met:... - Aged between 14-25 - Police and WWCC check - Live local to Wilton or have your own car as there is no public transport available - Willing to obtain insurance and ABN (guidance will be provided) - Be COVID-19 safe - Present yourself nicely - Physically fit to safely carry and maneuver 15kg+ - Be 100% reliable - Be respectful of our family and surroundings What the Job Involves Initially you will be getting to know Ryan and our family, you will be required to help Ryan play with his toys and friends, possibly help Ryan access his homework, accompany the family on outings and assist Ryan where necessary to enjoy his day. Once you have been trained you will be required to assist with Ryan’s personal care including eating/drinking. To Apply The job would be perfect for Uni students and High School students or someone who’s looking to relive their childhood and get paid for it! Flexibility can be offered and shifts may be a couple of hours or full days during weekends and school holidays. If you are interested please DM or email your resume to [email protected]

18.01.2022 Standing against the wall for 1:38, whilst counting AND correcting himself. Tonight was a great night! Thanks Jessica Elizabeth & Mika Francis all that hard work really is paying off!

17.01.2022 New Zealand here we come! Ryan & I are off to another 2 week session with Mike Poole in Hamilton NZ. Ryan’s had a very quiet 2 months due to seizures and medication adjustments, most days he was having long daytime naps & so spaced out he was having trouble engaging with us. With his meds sorted & his energy levels starting to rise again we’re hoping this will be a the kick start to 2020 that he needs to get him back on track. ... Mike’s style of training could be compared to a professional sports coach, he knows what Ryan is capable of and anything but will result in crunches, lots & lots of crunches. Ryan responded really well to Mike last year & I have no doubt he will settle in quickly this time round too.

16.01.2022 5 minutes of bench sitting! It’s an all time PB. Another great week at NAPA, it was so nice to see some old favorites & meet some new ones too. This week we focused on improving his standing stamina, specifically to help with going to the toilet & hand washing. He must have worked his little tooshie off because for the first time ever tonight he told us he has a sore bum and sore legs Lucky he’s got a couple of weeks rest ahead of him with the start of school holidays!

15.01.2022 I was proven wrong today & I’m pretty excited about it!!

15.01.2022 SUCCESS!! He had a wonderful 1st day and is keen to go back. He loved running around the playground in his walker & hanging out with his friends. He’s landed in a beautiful school surround by friends & staff that will do whatever it takes

13.01.2022 Please help our friend Emily & many more like her who will miss out on an education. Teachers shouldn’t be forced to be nurses & kids shouldn’t have to miss out on an education because of complex health issues.

07.01.2022 He is officially in Kindergarten! No tears in this camp, he was excited to see his friends from daycare & I was just happy to see him smiling & confident when I walked away.

07.01.2022 On the first day of Gymnastics the instructors suggested Ryan sit on the tramp and do some gentle bouncing. Mika wouldn’t have it. He told them we can do whatever everyone else does, just include us. And that’s what’s happening here. Ryan has done flips, rolls & everything else the other kids have done, it might just look a little different but he’s cool with that! Sitting on the sidelines whilst they explain the activities for the day, Ryan looks at each one and says I can do that! I can do that too! He may have CP, he may not be able to stand & he uses a wheelchair full time but he’s got something most don’t. A belief that he can do whatever he sets his heart on & a mate named Mika Francis! Big shout out to Miss Tieken, Mrs C & all the incredible staff at Wilton Public School too

07.01.2022 Ryan is lucky enough to have a few friends like this in his life We love our #50’s

05.01.2022 Inclusive playground at its best!

05.01.2022 Seizures & a virus aren’t enough to keep Ryan from his first book week. He was all set to be The Very Super Bear but a last minute hospital admission saw him blending in with his medical team! #seizuressuck

05.01.2022 Week 1 is done & he is making us proud

02.01.2022 Day 2 and the tears were flowing He worked really well but it’s hard work & 1hr40m with no break was his limit. I didn’t make it out of the car park before he fell asleep.
