I had no idea how this small biz of mine would fare through all of it. It’s been a challenging year but also one of growth and so much learning. I’m proud of the support we were able to show through donations to the Balinese communities in need during Covid 19 this year - we’ll continue to support them into next year and pray conditions improve. Like much of the rest of the world, we had news this week that our makers in Indonesia are in lockdown to stop the spread of the nasty C-virus... our thoughts & prayers go out to them to stay safe & healthy. So this year on my birthday I really wanted to give back to those less fortunate than we are by supporting the community of Bali where our beautiful products are handmade. During Covid many Balinese families have struggled... 90% of the Balinese economy is tourism based, so with this Industry wiped out at present, many h...ave lost work and are struggling to buy food and pay electricity bills to support their families (the Indonesian govt can’t be as generous as our own unfortunately ) For every purchase made by you today on 24th September, I pledge to contribute the proceeds of all sales towards Food packages for Balinese families in need. Our shipping agent Manik (swipe for pics) is the most beautiful soul, with money donated from her clients all around the world, she puts these food packages together for... for only $30 this buys a food package which goes towards a family eating for a month.... incredible how far our funds can go!
