14.01.2022 STANDING UP, STANDING OUT! 2018's Standing Up, Standing Out exhibition, in collaboration with Turbans & Trust, will see Tutti Arts' visual artists come together with the Sikh community to engage in cultural discourse. Artists will embellish turban cloth with their art, engaging in a mutual exchange of sacred objects, turbans and art. Both the Sikhi and Tutti communities know what it is to stand up and stand out and the challenges and adversity this can create. This exhibitio...n seeks to form a space in which these two communities can stand together and be a platform for examining what it truly means to be Standing Up, Standing Out. Exhibition Dates: 31 May - 13 July Venue: Nexus Arts Gallery - Lion Arts Centre Corner North Terrace & Morphett St Adelaide. This month, Tutti Visual Artists visited Gurdwara Sahib in Allenby Gardens and presented the Sikh community members with the artwork turbans, shown below.
