21.01.2022 Thank you Mr Shorten for LISTENING to what Travel Agents are dealing with. We have had no income since March, and no future income with borders closed and travel bans. No one seems to recognise or has worked out a solution for us to STAY ALIVE, with no income. What other industry has no income, is giving back last years earnings and still working to enable our clients to receive refunds??? ... Travel Agents require urgently, bespoke assistance to enable us to do what we love and get people travelling within Australia and Internationally when it is safe to do so. We need financial support to get us through paying the bills - Job Keeper doesn't cover the rent, superannuation and leave for staff and business expenses. Please I ask you to take a few minutes to listen and appreciate the situation travel agents are in - just like Bill Shorten listened to some of my fellow colleagues who own agencies. We need you to support us and book any domestic travel with your travel agent. DO NOT BOOK ONLINE WITH OVERSEAS SITES AS THE MONEY DOES NOT STAY IN AUSTRALIA!!

20.01.2022 Celebrating 38 years, since Ramsgate Travel Service was established by Rosemary Peart in April 1983. No doubt the past 14 months have been the most trying & difficult, with both domestic and international borders closed, together with the suspension of cruising to Australia. But we have stayed open and in operation and of course WE WILL SURVIVE!!! We have been buoyed by the confidence we are now witnessing, with the vaccines being rolled out, and people tired of not bein...g able to travel as freely as we once did, the future bookings are starting to flow in. The friendly staff who you know and trust, are looking forward to getting away our loyal and wonderful clients - many who have had numerous false starts, thinking they may have been able to get away, in what seems like the longest 14 months on record!! 20.01.2022 Well this certainly is not on the cards for 2020. We will all have to enjoy the television coverage of "the race that stops the nation" rather than spending an enjoyable day at the track all dressed up.
