05.05.2022 Well the results are in...it’s official - Our bees produce award winning honey! The judges at the NSW Apiarists Association honey show like our honey almost as much as we do! In the medium non-eucalyptus category our honey was awarded equal 2nd place with a score of 92, which also earned a high distinction!... In the fine granulated category our honey was awarded 3rd place with a score of 88. We are absolutely thrilled...Congratulations little bees ! We have a limited quantity of these award winning honeys still available for sale- $10/500g jar.

08.03.2022 Mother Nature can be cruel... Over winter one of our hives lost their queen and we gave them the opportunity to raise their own queen as a replacement. A colony will raise many queens and when they finally emerge, it’s a survival of the fittest scenario - the queens will usually fight to the death. Often, the first queen to emerge from her cocoon/cell will sting the other queens to death before they are even born. Here are 2 of the losers - unsuccessful virgin princesses... RIP losers. Look forward to meeting the new reigning Queen when we next inspect the hive.
