15.05.2022 Rana Environmental, in partnership with Talis Consultants, recently completed delivery of Round 4 of the NSW Environmental Protection Authority Bin Trim Program. Our delivery of the Program in NSW engaged with 35 businesses, including Bluescope Steel, diverted 462 tonnes of waste from landfill, obtained $6,790 in funding for recycling equipment, and collectively saved businesses $55,220 in annual waste disposal fees. 05.05.2022 Rana Environmental has been awarded the Australian Business Award Community Contribution 2021, most notably for The Climbing for the Sun Project, but also for supporting the community via the SOLARdarity Program, our panel membership to the Tradies iPromise Grants Program, annual donation of a carbon offset program for the Illawarra Convoy, and work experience placement for Year 10 students within the Illawarra. In recent year, Rana Environmental has placed a greater emphasis on social and community applications of sustainability so as to fulfil what we see as our obligation to drive broader societal change. To subsequently received recognition at the national level by way of the ABA100 Awards is humbling, especially when we had so much fun along the way.

29.04.2022 Another Illawarra first! Introducing the Illawarra’s first Carbon Neutral certified commercial office building under the NABERS Standard; 280-286 Keira Street, Wollongong. Quality Green Group, owners and proactive practitioners of sustainability, took advantage of a pilot NABERS Carbon Neutral Program, which mirrors but also streamlines, the National Carbon Offset Standard (NCOS). ... Coupled with the achievement of obtaining the first two 6-star NABERS rated buildings in the Illawarra, of only 38 6-star buildings nationally, there is no question that Quality Green Group are leaders in commercial office building management. 27.01.2022 The sky is the limit! Bringing out the big guns for Wests Illawarra 100kW Solar PV System. Upon completion, the collective capacity of solar installed by the Illawarra Sustainable Clubs Alliance, a program administered by Rana Environmental, will pass the 1MWh mark, cementing the Illawarra as the most sustainable region of Club's in Australia.

25.01.2022 Rana Environmental this week completed the installation of a 30kW Solar PV System at Grandma Rosie’s Childcare Centre, Haywards Bay. The site is the first of four Grandma Rosie's Childcare Centres, and two owners home properties, that will be fitted with Solar PV, amassing 99.2kW in total capacity. Welcome to the future!

The Solar PV system installation has been completed and we’ve got a confession to make; we over-delivered upon the proposed 35kW system with a 42kW system, as a result of tech prices falling since the Project inception 12 months ago, and because the Project raised 14% more than the proposed budget. As a result, St Brigid's Catholic Primary School, Gwynneville is now the first virtual electricity inde...pendent primary school in the Illawarra (124 schools). A huge thank you to our primary sponsors, Dapto Leagues Club and Rana Environmental, as well as 40 other business sponsors, and 51 individual donations, that demonstrated strong community leadership and a desire for a renewables lead future. 23.01.2022 The Climbing for the Sun Project signed, sealed and delivered. Raise $32,400 ($36,600) Climb Mt Kilimanjaro Install a 35kW Solar PV System (42kW)... Be the first electricity independent school in the Illawarra 14 months in the making and St Brigid’s Primary School, Gwynneville is officially the first electricity independent school in the Illawarra of 124 schools. A huge thank you to the Project’s primary sponsor, Dapto Leagues Club, as well as 40 other business sponsors, 51 individual donors, and the St Brigid’s school community for your invaluable contribution to raise the funds. In mid 2019, Rana Environmental was engaged to improve the buildings star rating performance via the application of a 57kW Solar PV system. Fast forward 12 months, Rana Environmental undertook a NABERS Energy rating which confirmed that the Solar PV system had indeed achieved the objective of increasing the rating from 5-stars.... Better still, the collective efforts of our Illawarra Sustainable Clubs Alliance members has seen a collective 949.3kW of solar capacity installed in the Illawarra region.

12.01.2022 The Sustainable Clubs Alliance, an initiative of Rana Environmental, has reached the impressive milestone of 1MWh of collective Solar PV capacity amongst it's 26 Club members. The collective capacity will save the respective Clubs approximately $215,000 per annum. Coupled with a broad range of sustainability outcomes, the Sustainable Clubs Alliance is undeniably the most sustainable group of Clubs in Australia.... As our client prepares to occupy their new premises, Rana Environmental was engaged to upgrade the lighting systems and true to form we followed the brief. The project included the replacement of 118 hi-bay lights, 23 flood lights, and 102 fluorescent office lights with LED lighting technology, estimated to reduce consumption by 250,000kWh and save the site $40,000 per annum in operating costs.

05.01.2022 Rana Environmental, in partnership with Talis Consultants, recently completed delivery of Round 3 of the NSW Environmental Protection Authority Bin Trim Program. Our delivery of the Program in the Greater Illawarra Region engaged with 73 businesses, diverted 1,046 tonnes of waste from landfill, obtained $41,718 in funding for recycling equipment, and collectively saved businesses $82,410 in annual waste disposal fees.
