25.01.2022 Is this the ultimate rare 60s/70s guitar pedal trio ? "Not often do I pull out this trio...... The Shin-Ei Resly, the Univibe with pedal, and the Roland CE chorus pedal... they are all in good condition, very special, and becoming hard to find... and when you do find these, they are insanely expensive. These units helped power #Hendrix (Univibe) and #AndySummers/#Police (CE-1) into fame. The Univibe has 'Trower Band' hand written on the bottom! Those of you in the know, will know the significance of this. They live at RSS, and are part of the package when you record here." 24.01.2022 Yew! Guys check out this tune we’ve been working on this year. Huge song from Silky Roads . I love everything about it. One of my dreams came true when we went ...down to a cottage near Goulburn to record this EP and had the full rock and roll experience. It’s the best way to do it. (If you’re as good friends as silky are haha). We wanted to go all out vintage vocal mics with Blain A Cunneen. At Rancom St Studios for that crazy good vocal tone. then I destroyed it all on a tape machine to make it sound from the 50’s or something. Mastered at 301 by Leon Zervos. "For some of the 70s I shared a house in Birrell St, Bondi Jnc. with La De Dahs bass player Ronnie Peel. In 1977 Roger Davies suggested doing an album with Ronnie... he had some good rock and roll songs... we knocked them into shape, and got some friends together... Tony Mitchell, Alan Sandow, Ted Mulry, Mark Kennedy, Cheetah, Kevin Borich, Jim Gannon and others. Richard Lush (from Abbey Rd, and a dear friend) engineered the sessions at Studio 301 in Castlereagh St in Sydney. The album was called Rollin' On. Ronnie went on to be a regular in The JPY Allstars. Last week, after a period of ill health, RTJ passed away peacefully with his partner Virginia, and daughter Justine at his side. We just lost one of the best....... RIP Ronnie. Garth.
