25.01.2022 Creative collaborative making is the best sort of thing for me. I enjoy the flow of ideas between individuals where no one person has ultimate naming rights ove...r the final product. As a costumier this process usually involves designer, maker and performer which is what I do for a crust. It’s an intimate and tactile process with all senses usually engaged. (No licking.) However, this little project has resulted in an outcome where the process has happened entirely online. So no sound, touch, smell or taste just vision. Kelsie and I have never met yet we have so much in common according to the images we have chosen to put on the insta. We are visual artists, travellers, animal friends, curious, aesthetes, sandgropers and women. Introductions were done via messenger and we arrived at common ground sharing experiences of a day in our life in these straitened times. We brought those moments together and have headed toward creating a design for a jigsaw puzzle an increasingly popular iso-activity. Kelsie has mad illustration skills and I fancy some iphonography. We're still working on an image where we're capturing the more positive things about isolation which as creatives just means a whole lot more time to make stuff which has been awesome. Watch this space! So, we’re still fine tuning and I hope that when were done and we’ve made a thing we can actually meet in person when I’m allowed out of the house ... See more
