23.01.2022 Remedial massage should be comfortably uncomfortable - not painful! I often have clients say go as hard as you can, or doesnt work unless Im in pain. This in fact isnt true!... If you are receiving a massage that is painful, it causes you to not only tense the muscles being worked on, but also other muscles throughout it your body & often clients will be holding their breath. All of the above are counter productive to the outcome we are aspiring to, which is promoting blood flow & loosening muscle tension. So next time you receive a remedial massage & the therapist asks how to pressure is, if your face resembles LeBrons, please let them know & then they will adjust the pressure.

22.01.2022 Were on the move Well not quite yet.. as were in this strange in-between time that is Covid-19, Ryan & myself have decided that now is the best time to make our big move. Weve got our house on the market & will be re-building in our amazing Armstrong Mount Duneed Estate in the near future!... I didnt want any of my amazing clients to be concerned if they came past and saw a For Sale sign, so I wanted to let you all know. This may take some time with selling, buying, building process however, we thought why not start the process now while Renew & Restore Therapies is on hold. Hoping this way it will reduce the inconvenience to my clients while this is all taking place. So while none of us can get a much needed massage, hopefully by the time I can see you all again, I will have a new amazing room to treat in. 20.01.2022 Postpartum Massage Have you wondered about postpartum massage? Postpartum massage is a treatment that occurs within the first 12 weeks after birth.... During my second labour I ended up in an emergency caesarean & was in theatre for over 2 hours. This made my recovery so much harder than my first! The one thing I noticed was how sore my lower back was, not only from the anaesthetic but from laying in a hospital bed for almost 12 hours. Once I had the approval from my Obstetrician, I booked straight in for a massage! 19.01.2022 Anglesea Bookings From 1st July I will be scheduling massage treatments from Anglesea. As I will be treating from a new location updated provider details can take up to 8 weeks to register, meaning clients wont be able to claim treatments until potentially September.... During this period where I wont have provider numbers, I will be reducing my prices to: 45 minutes $55 (normally $70) 60 minute $70 (normally $85) 90 minutes $95 (normally $110) All treatments will need to be paid in cash at this time. I have been a qualified massage therapist since 2014, completing my Cert. 4 & then carrying on to receive my diploma of Remedial massage at the Australian College of Massage. To further my knowledge & skill, in 2018 I gained my certification as a registered practitioner of pregnancy massage.... Prior to working 100% for myself, I also worked at the Jan Juc Chiropractor as a massage therapist, which helped extend my knowledge & skill in the remedial & deep tissue aspect of Massage Therapy. 06.01.2022 I sure do! While as of June 1st the beauty industry was be back up and running, Renew & Restore Therapies will have some changes to regular programming. We have sold our house & will be building again in Mount Duneed, PLUS we have also decided to add to the family in October.... In the meantime, we will be living down in Anglesea. Once I have a safe area to treat in, I will be scheduling massage treatments down there (until around September when I will head on maternity leave). Feel free to message or inbox me to be put on the wait list, if you would like to book a treatment in Anglesea. I will be back in Mount Duneed by February/March 2021 & taking clients again, in my new treatment space . 02.01.2022 Its with a heavy heart that Im having to cancel the next two weeks of massage treatments due to the Covid-19 virus. I have just received an email from my provider, AMT, advising all therapist to stop treatments effective immediately. Unfortunately the hands on nature of the business & the fact that people can be effected days without symptoms, it is the only option. Not only to help stop the spread of the infection but also to keep my valued clients safe and my family safe.... I will be opening up further available dates in the coming weeks to accomodate everyone back in & will send them through as soon as I have them rescheduled and all this craziness dies down.
