24.01.2022 Happy Friday. A long term project I’ve been working on for over a year is winding down, which means I now have room for a few more coaching clients. I take a 'person first' approach, which just means I care more about who you are than what title you hold. Having said that people want to know what levels I typically coach at, and what sorts of industries, so...... My coaching focuses on leadership for mid to senior level managers, as well as new leaders. I have experience working with people in small to large businesses including start-up entrepreneur businesses, marketing, online, retail, superannuation, pharmaceutical, construction, transportation, the arts and a bunch more. I can help you reframe, improve communication, build team trust, set goals - and achieve them and get into your own groove as the leader you are meant to be (no cookie cutter thanks!) People who seem to enjoy working with me are those who are keen to make quick and lasting change, people who love to learn and test themselves and people who don't mind a bit of quirkiness with their pragmatic advice. If you are super straight-laced, don't like to challenge and hate change, I am probably not the coach for you. (But if you are uncomfortable with change but want to do better in that space I do that really well). 23.01.2022 Have you ever taken part in 360 feedback? What was your experience? It can be a powerful way to understand you impact versus your intent, and what you are amazing at.... A great robust report, with a debrief from a coach who really understands these reports and always has your best interests in mind, can be a game changer. 23.01.2022 Now you have prepared, written your notes, made sure that the opening was strong (I let them know what this is about succinctly). Now you need to pare it down. Get clear and precise - don't try to say too many things in one communication. Remember your purpose? Does everything in your draft belong? Are you waffling? Does every statement make sense if you don’t know the back story?

23.01.2022 When you want to share something - be it information, praise, feedback, corrections.... getting it out of your head is a great first step to getting it clear.

16.01.2022 Every author has a proof-reader, and an editor. And they are paid to write. So why wouldn't you? Trust me, a proof-reader will help you identify if your message is understandable...and that's the whole point of communicating isn't it? So go ahead and find a trusted person (bearing in mind any appropriate confidentiality sensitivities) to review and give you feedback.
