16.03.2022 Sugar is everywhere in supermarket staples, even foods that appear healthy! 14.02.2022 Please do what you can to reduce the risk of spreading infection to the susceptible and critically ill. The safety of our patients and the community is our priority.

08.02.2022 Tooth decay occurs when bacteria in our mouths use sugars from foods and drinks to produce acids that erode the hard outer layer of the teeth. Tooth decay can cause pain, infection and tooth loss. Without treatment, it can destroy children’s (and adult’s) teeth and have a serious, lasting impact on overall health and quality of life. Most dental disease can be prevented by 5 easy steps: 1) Brushing teeth twice daily with a fluoride toothpaste 2) Flossing daily... 3) Drinking fluoridated tap water 4) Limiting the amount of sugar consumed in foods and drinks 5) Coming in to see us at least once per year for a check-up We love helping our patients and friends keep their teeth and gums healthy and look forward to seeing you at your next check-up Images courtesy of @adanswbranch #healthyteeth #healthysmiles @ Randwick Dental Care

04.02.2022 IT’S MOUTHGUARD SEASON! Check out the steps we go through to make mouthguards for our wonderful patients (and future Rabbitoh players?!). Custom-fitted mouthguards work by absorbing and spreading the force of an impact to protect you from some serious sporting injuries, such as broken jaws, cracked or knocked-out teeth and cut lips.... We specially design your mouthguard based on an impression we take of your teeth and jaws. A custom-fitted mouthguard fits comfortably, balances your bite and lets you speak and breathe normally. In contrast, the Australian Dental Association does NOT recommend self-fitted, over-the-counter mouthguards as they offer little to no protection for teeth and can sometimes do more harm than good! Children's teeth and jaws change and grow quickly year-to-year, so a mouthguard that fitted perfectly last season may not fit so well this year. While you’re in the midst of checking whether you need new boots, headgear and shin pads, also think about booking in for a check-up with us and making sure your mouthguard is still fit for use! #dentist #mouthguard #protection #tooth #teeth #sport #loveyourteeth

01.01.2022 To our patients, The Australian Dental Association has raised the restrictions on dental practice to Level 3. This means that we will keep our doors open but only for urgent and emergency problems. If you have a dental issue and are unsure if it is an urgent case, call us on 9399 3957 or email us [email protected]... Thank you for your understanding during this time. Remember to keep on brushing and flossing!
