23.01.2022 The Fair Work Commission has announced a 1.75% increase to minimum wages. This will apply to all award wages. Increases to awards will start on 3 different da...tes for different groups of awards. Frontline and essential services get the increase from 1 July, 2020. Manufacturing and construction award wage rates will be increased from 1 November, 2020 and accommodation, food, retail, tourism, and aviation will be increased from 1 February, 2021. For anyone not covered by an award or an agreement, the new national minimum wage (NMW) will be $753.80 per week or $19.84 per hour. The increase to the NMW applies from the first full pay period starting on or after 1 July 2020. We’re working on updating our pay tools with the new allowances and will send an email update to subscribers once they’re available. 15.01.2022 The ATO will start processing refunds after 17/07/2018. Keep in mind this is a very busy few months for the ATO and, they have 28 business days to process your tax return from the date it is lodged.

15.01.2022 Building & Construction Industry - Need to submit your taxable payment annual report with the ATO by 28/08/2018 . Contact the office for paper forms or assistance to lodge electronically with Quick Books. If you didn't use any contractors during the financial year please let us know so we can submit a NIL 2018 TPAR for you.

If you haven't already lodged both your spouse & your own tax return please contact us immediately. Failure to lodge your tax return before 30/06/2018 could result in missing out on the lump sum payment & you may even have to back pay Family Assistance received. If you are entitled but haven't lodged for a lump sum payment, you have until 30/06/2018 to do so via the Department of Human Services.
