01.04.2022 Sarah Jeffery our RALF (National Landcare Program) finished the last of the sessions of the Drought Resilience Leaders Development Program in the Northern Wheatbelt. Unfortunately, we had to wrap up early but what an amazing journey we have all been on. We finished the last course with an ‘Introduction to Transformative Scenario Planning (TSP)’ session by Paul Larkin and Stephen Atkinson from Reos Partners. It started with understanding the difference between predictions an...d scenarios. Following this we investigated the difference between Traditional versus Transformational Scenario Planning (TSP) and why use TSP. We also spoke a lot about adapting and transforming in terms of ourselves, our community and our system with climate change being the underlying issue. In breakout groups relating to what we wanted to achieve in our communities, we dived deep into turning that into a project. Topics ranged from Natural Capital, Regeneration Regional Communities, Education and Politics. The overall course showed us all how resilient we all are and that we are all leaders in our own right. It also showed us how passionate we are about the environment, agriculture, and the communities in which we live. We were so fortunate to have Liz Brennan as our facilitator throughout the course. She is one amazing person, taking everything that was thrown at her in her stride. I am so privileged to have been chosen to be part of this cohort.
