16.01.2022 Everything you need to know.

10.01.2022 ~Australian Birds~ Here's my finished Australian birds illustration. 2 years in the making. Birds have always been a love of mine. I remember from a very young ...age, going for walks in parks with my Pop and him identifying the local birds and imitating their songs. I love their constant presence, how no matter where you go, birds are your companion, the community of nature and backing track to your life. ... You can purchase prints of these artworks or any individual bird at my redbubble store: https://www.redbubble.com/people/48Tuesdays/explore ... #australianbirds #australiana #illustration #australianartist #samuelhardidge #digitalart #digitalillustration #australiandigitalart #australianbush #artistsofinstagram #bird #superbfairywren #rosella #kookaburra #magpie #blackcockatoo #wedgetaileagle

10.01.2022 Over the last few days we've planted the first of a total of 3000 trees on this site in the Brisbane Ranges, west of Melbourne. The property was cleared for fa...rming many years ago, and new owners Jodie & Glenn want to restore the native bush to a large part of the site. Over the next two years Koala Clancy Foundation are planting over 6000 trees & shrubs, starting with the gullies and areas subject to erosion. Our skill is in choosing the correct native species, preparing the site in advance, planning ahead, and accessing the tough but critical locations on steep hills and gullies, which can only be planted by hand. An ambitious project that would take a landowner a decade or more to do themselves, will only take us 2 years. We can't delay - koalas need these trees now. Part of this project was funded by a generous donation from Steppes Travel, based in the UK.

09.01.2022 Wherever or not you’re a passionate Eco lover I’m sure all of you appreciate the absolute beauty of Australia’s bushland and the trees that create them. Most of you who follow my page have these particular trees within 3 hours of you. They live where you go camping and in the places you take your children on adventures. They are the trees your rellies from overseas, stare up at, in awe when you take them on a drive round the mountains. Some of our most iconic, most loved and... most highly endangered animals live here and here only. These forests are the best in the world at locking up carbon, in fact, 250 year old forests could store up to 2,844 tonnes per hectare. They quite literally clean our planet and we are quickly loosing them. Next time you are building a house, buying a new dinner table or paper for the printer, please don’t buy Victoria Ash or Reflex paper, there are so many other great options.
