08.01.2022 Backyard Transformation This was a tricky installation. Had to park on a main road and walk all the materials up a hill about 100m into a narrow one direction lane way at Forest Lodge The backyard was slopped, obstructed and uneven. Dug out a tonne of soil and rubbish away from the fence line to avoid the weight of the debris from pushing against the sleepers which ultimately causes misalignment issues. This also helped to create an even surface for the gate to open freel...y with no interference. These sleepers are not meant to retain soil, they’re simply to cover gaps under the fence and/or give it extra height. We advised our customer, a retaining wall would be a better option for this space, however the Customer didn’t want to invest in a retaining wall as they’re planning to build a garage there within the next few years.
