24.01.2022 A recent client wanted their timber boards sanded, polished and stained with a walnut shade. Upon further inspection Maka noticed that the entrance hallway was badly damaged with water stains (which had been previously masked by an existing dark coloured stain). Maka removed the damaged boards and replaced with new boards. He then sanded, polished and stained the boards with the shade chosen by the client and finished with a semi gloss lacquer. The resulting floors came up beautifully and you’d never know that there had been extensive floor work completed in the hallway.

24.01.2022 A client recently had a new kitchen installed and wanted to refresh their tired looking floors. Whilst the new kitchen looked amazing the change in configuration drew attention to the space where the old bench sat and the existing stains on the oil based timber floors appeared more evident. Maka recommended that the floors be fully sanded back and 3 coats of water based Bona Traffic lacquer be applied to bring the existing floors back to life. The result was a fresh new look that matched perfectly with the new kitchen.

21.01.2022 A great way to freshen up an old outdoor deck is to resand it and seal it with a water based decking oil that is both durable and water repellent. This beautiful merbau deck was brought back to life and the owners were thrilled with the result.

15.01.2022 New life was brought to this termite damaged floor. This was a tricky job as only a number of boards were damaged and to save costs the client only wanted those boards replaced. New Tasmanian Oak timber boards were glued and secret nailed onto yellow tongue chipboard and then the entire room was sanded back and finished in a polyurethane semi gloss finish. The client was beyond thrilled and we were happy to help! :)

07.01.2022 A recently water damaged hallway needed to be repaired. Maka from Rapid Flooring replaced 17 boards and sanded and coated the floor boards with a matte finish. The new boards blended in seamlessly with the existing timber flooring and you’d never know that repair works had been done on this small section!
