25.01.2022 Last Sunday an inspiring nest box workshop was held in Rappville bringing together landholders with properties impacted by last summer’s wildfires and habitat a...ugmentation specialists with a goal of assisting hollow dependant wildlife impacted by the fires. Alan Franks from Hollow Log Homes shared his expertise in nest box design and installation and Annika Hallinan from Southern Cross University shared approaches to monitoring the effectiveness of nest boxes. This event was part of a project funded by WIRES and Landcare Australia as part of the Wildlife Relief and Recovery Grant Program. The project is installing 100 artificial hollows in the areas around Rappville. Special thanks to Rappville Public School for hosting the event. We will keep you posted on the uptake of these boxes. 02.01.2022 Intensive Swimming commences tomorrow Monday. Students will need their swimmers, towel, goggles, Rash shirt and a bag for wet clothes. Students tend to build up a bigger appetite during our swimming program so an extra snack or piece of fruit may help.
