21.01.2022 This was sent to us this morning by a concerned resident of KI. PLEASE DRIVE CAREFUL AND HONK YOUR HORN IF YOU SEE ONE OF THESE MAGNIFICENT BIRDS ON A ROAD KILL ON THE ROAD SIDE. If you have time perhaps pull the carcass into the scrub. Remember the way they are facing is the direction they will take off. Residents comment below. This male was alive as we passed and 20mins later was dead on the roadside this morning. Not asking you to, but if you might leverage the images on SM reminding people to drive carefully. Well... Very sad. Hope you are all well.

21.01.2022 Grant now re named Sunny has been taken to animal hospital on the mainland, she is egg bound. Her eggs are in an incubator now. Fingers crossed and prayers please for her babies and her safe return.

17.01.2022 Raptor Domain has modified a few things to suit COVID19 restrictions. We now have a portable Venom/Reptile Pit. We can now seat 70 or more depending on social groups. Previously we were limited to 30 in the original area. Being outdoors is nicer also.... Gates are opening at 10:30 during school holidays and public holidays. See more

15.01.2022 Grant is now called Sunny. Thanks everyone, a lot of lovely names suggested. We like this name because she is the colour of sunshine and she makes so many people smile during our interactive shows. Sunny Origin and Meaning The name Sunny is a girl's name of English origin. Upbeat nickname-name that can't help but make you smile. You might want to use it as a short form for a more "serious" name such as Sunniva, but Sunny is undeniably, well, sunny.

07.01.2022 Look who has decided to join our shows here at Raptor Domain. He has been showing up each day when we bring the birds out. Some times sitting on the display perch with our other birds. As you can see our presenter Chantelle is delighted he has decided to now interact.

07.01.2022 For everyone following our story about Sunny and her eggs. Sunny is fine after visiting mainland vets from being egg bound. Sadly her eggs are not viable. Perhaps next year with a little more experience in the team and a better incubator.
