The central courtyard acts as the village street with the interior spaces fronting this on either side. 10.01.2022 Introducing our recently completed Cheltenham Early Learning Centre - Bira Bira Bira Bira ELC was a refurbishment of an existing warehouse which is located as part of a group of warehouses. The design concept explores the idea of creating 'warehouse within a warehouse'. A large void is provided in the centre of the warehouse, providing a continuous shared open play with direct connections to the internal play spaces. We inserted smaller warehouse / shed typologies within the ...larger space to create the sense of a small village. Transitional spaces are provided to blur the boundaries between the interior and exterior.
