24.01.2022 Daily self-care is one of the most important elements of healthcare. Your Daily Routine can help you remove and release stress in your body and mind, so that you can live a long, healthy, creative and joy-filled life. In times like these I find my Yoga asana practice helps guide my awareness inward, towards what is most essential, wise, and loving. Whilst bringing awareness to my breath, movement and the present moment.... Finding ways to help us feel steady in our hearts is so important, not only for ourselves but also those around us. I’ve always found one of the best ways to prioritise my physical and mental health is to commit to a regular yoga and meditation practice. This week I decided to embark on a 21 day Journey to improve my physical fitness, mental outlook and sense of well being with @hotyogaflame When I lived in Melbourne I was lucky enough to commit to a few 21 day challenges with Yoga Flame and every time I finished the 21 days, I felt lighter physically and mentally! I must admit there’s something about ticking off that little box to complete the practice and the day! Having said that I did forget to do it last night as I rolled straight from Yin class to bed My goal this challenge is to unite the mind and body, to lower stress levels, reduce stiffness from too much sitting, and clear the mental clutter, like ‘is locked down over yet’...... There is only one person responsible for your well-being, and that's you. Whether you explore yoga or prefer to draw, paint, sing, swim, or run. Allow yourself the time to commit to an activity several times each week to mentally and physically nourish your body. See more

21.01.2022 Much like many of you I haven’t seen my family for months... in fact I can’t recall the last time I did see them in the flesh! Whilst it’s not easy to be forced to stay away from those you love in times like these. I am extremely grateful for technology, FaceTime and a mobile phone! There has been many happy birthday’s via FaceTime and although I don’t get to eat the cake.... I do get to celebrate, send love and see happy faces.... This little post isn’t about Technology though, it’s about gifting love through the means of... face masks! Family means the world to me and if there is anything I can do to limit the spread of COVID I will. That last few nights I’ve been sewing these little guys! Flowers for the ladies and black for the men (no pic of black it’s not as fun) Made with love, for love Stay safe, put your health first and let your loved ones know you care. #facemasks #handmade #familylove #madeforlove #madewithlove #formyloves #reusablemask #facemask #healthfirst #forthefamily #withlove

19.01.2022 Life will always be full of challenges. Belief that challenges can be overcome with persistence, determination, and courage is essential to your wellbeing. We are definitely in a time of uncertainty. Do something today that will bring you joy! Dance, laugh, sing, play..... Do whatever is going to switch up your energy and cultivate a little more happiness. The sound of the ocean always puts a smile on my face and I am so grateful to have it close by it times of need.... Take care of your loved ones, and take care of yourself! If you don’t look after yourself, it will be so much harder to look after others. Love and light to all

14.01.2022 Wishing all the fathers around the world a very Happy Father’s Day! The little poem below pretty much sums up how grateful I am for my very special Dad here’s to the day we get to hug our loved ones on days like today. Missing my family but so grateful they are all in good health Honored to have you has my Father ... Patient, kind, honest, and strong, You have been there for me all along, From the earliest that I remember, You’ve always showed you care, You taught me the everyday things, Like riding a motorbike and driving car, You also taught me to deal with what life brings. You’ve shaped my values and world view, You’ve been there whenever I needed, You’ve helped in many a way, Whether fixing something broken, Or knowing just what to say. I always know I can count on you, That’s a matter of fact, For that and countless other things, I love you to the moon and back. You have a heart of gold, Never one to boast, Or never look for praises, You just go on quietly working, For those you love the most. If you could look inside my heart, You would quickly see, The special place you hold there and how much you mean to me. Most of all, I’m grateful, That today and every single day, I have you as my Dad.

09.01.2022 Healing effects of colour. In Ayurveda, we have the subtle gunas or subtle qualities. They are Sattvic, Rajasic and Tamasic. Sattvic colors are expansive, promoting peacefulness and spiritual growth. As a general rule, pastels are the most sattvic.... Rajasic colors are stimulating and exciting, generally increasing the desire of the mind and senses. Think bright, flashy, neon and psychedelic colours which are the most rajasic. Tamasic colors dull the mind and make it heavier and lethargic. They can bring out a person’s darker nature and interfere with your spiritual growth. Dull and dark colors tend to be tamasic. Red - rajasic in nature, red can sharpen the mind, but it can also easily agitate it. Orange - while exciting and energizing like red, it is not as stimulating, it is also a rajasic color. Yellow - known to lifts the spirits, increasing joy and enthusiasm. Spiritually, it is a Rajasic color. Gold lifts the spirits, increases the intellect and stabilizes the mind. It is the only one that builds Ojas (vitality), increasing immunity and mental stability. A Sattvic color that supports spiritual transformation. Green a moderate sattvic color that is considered to be very grounding. Thank you Nature! Blue sattvic in nature, blue reduces anger and passion, assisting in cooling the blood and reducing fevers and inflammation. White supports purification, cooling nature counteracts fever and infection. It is expansive, and the most Sattvic. Black whilst physically, black may not have a dramatic effect. Emotionally, it is very potent. Brown grounding in nature, it increases strength and endurance whilst supporting the development of Ojas. Spiritually though, it is a Tamasic colour contributing to laziness and a lack of motivation. Which colours do you gravitate towards? Can you relate to the above? See more

06.01.2022 If there were nothing but thought in you, you wouldn’t even know you are thinking. You would be like a dreamer who doesn’t know he is dreaming. When you know you are dreaming, you are awake within the dream. ~ Eckhart Tolle You don’t have to wait for external circumstances to shift before such a transforming experience overtakes your life. It is your inner transformation that causes circumstances to shift.
