22.01.2022 Say hello to the little bird purse! I actually came up with the design for these a few years back, but never really got to making them... but I thought they were way too cute not to create and share, so here they are! Available in a variety of prints these handy little purses are great for carrying keys, make up, cash, headphones or any of those other things that get lost in your hand bag (you know what I'm talking about!). You can keep it in your handbag to separate your e...ssentials, use it as a clutch when you're heading out to dinner or lunch or have it as a pouch for your make up touch up kit. The purses are fully lined, have a zipper closure and have an embroidered and padded wing detail on the front for a little extra fun! You can grab yours from the website today #wahmmade #australianmadegifts #australianmadefashion #SupportSmallBusiness #handmade #pursesforsale #sewistsofinstagram #mumswhosew #sustainablefashionlabel #ecoconsciousfashion #ecoliving #lightandairy #smallbatch #slowmadegoods #slowmadefashion #fashionforwomen #womensclothing #sewing #sewsustainable #madesustainably #australianfashionlabel #fashionwithaconscience #clothingbrand See more

22.01.2022 You know how I mentioned in my post last week about how I used to have a "style blue print" that was easy to follow... Well I've been hunting high and low looking for any full length shots of me from back then to show you... Guess what.... I couldn't find any! Shocking really. (note to self: be in more photos.) So I did the next best thing and created a collage of photos that sort of show the "blue print" I followed. My staples were skinny jeans, or a fitted skirt (ocassi...onally tailored shorts) and a nice blousy top, preferably button up with longer sleeves I could roll back, but a blousy tee worked too! Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with this, it just doesn't work for me anymore. Those fitted skirts make crawling/ running after children really difficult, my jeans are just all far too tight. And while I don't mind a blousy top, it just isn't so flattering if its worn with less fitted bottoms. Next week I'll share with you a bit about what happened to my style post babies and what made me decide that something needed to change! #mumsinbusiness #wahmlife #mumpreneur #postpartumstyle #mumfashionblog #stylediary #postpartumlife #postpartumbody #sew #australiansmallbusiness #australianmadefashion #sustainablefashionbrand #mystylejourney #part2 #mumlife #sewistsoftheworld #australiansewing #sewsustainable #womensfashion #bodypositivity #lifewithkids #sewist #fashionblog

19.01.2022 Have you ever looked into your wardrobe and thought "I've literally got nothing to wear.. " when really your wardrobe is FULL of beautiful clean clothes? That has been me the last few months. There isn't anything wrong with what is in my wardrobe, except that it doesn't fit me very well, or if it does it makes me feel frumpy or really doesn't suit me or my lifestyle. For a long time I've had a very easy blueprint I followed for my personal style, but having children has thro...wn a spanner in the works. My body shape is different. My lifestyle is different. What I loved before doesn't quite work any more and to be honest, having a wardrobe of clothes that I don't feel great in or can't even get on has been really depressing and made me not even want to leave the house. Why do I share this with you?No I'm not branching out into being a personal stylist - it's because if you're right there with me standing in your wardrobe feeling lost and sad I want you to know it doesn't have to stay that way. In the last few weeks I've been rediscovering my style, what I love and what looks amazing for my new body shape (because let's be honest, when you have children sometimes things are just never the same!) During this month I will share with you a bit about my style journey, which I've remembered evolves with you and your life. You don't have to stay stuck in that uncomfortable and sad place. We can journey out of it together! Stay tuned I'll be sharing more with you next week (and I'll have a new blog post covering this coming soon too!) #wahmlife #sustainablefashion #sustainableliving #supportaustralianmade #madeinaustralia #mumpreneur #stylejourney #postpartumbody #postpartumstyletips #mumlife #lightandairy #sustainablefashionbrand #wardrobeblues #whattowear #ethicalfashionlabel #australianfashionlabel #fashion #australiansmallbusiness #mumstyle #wahmmade #wahm #honestmotherhood #motherhoodlife #findyourstyle #sew #madeinaustralia

04.01.2022 This is really hard for me to post. A little awkward. A little embarrassing.... And very uncomfortable. But necessary for me to be able to share with you what came next in my style story. I have never liked having my photo taken, but I do love these photos because in them I am with some of my favourite people. However I don't think they are best or most flattering outfits I've ever worn. You can see I got comfortable with overly baggy shirts and dressing lazily with whatever was closest to hand. I wanted to hide the parts of me I wasn't proud of, so I wasn't loving who I was. But lets not linger here, because this is only a midway in the story, I'll share with you at the end of the week my steps out of dressing for convenience into feeling confident in my clothes. If you'd like to jump ahead, you can go check out my blog - follow the link in bio. Otherwise pop back on Friday for the next instalment. #stylejourney #letsbehonest #postpartum #afterbabybody #mumpreneur #wahmlifestyle #fifomum #fashionstyleblogger #style #australianfashion #mumstyle #babybody #breastfeedingmama #fashiondesigner #australianfashionlabels #madeinaustralia #wahmmadeclothes #supportlocalbrisbane #sew #slowmade #oldphotos

02.01.2022 I’m sorry that I’ve been a bit MIA. I’ve had quite a few bookings for custom orders, so I’ve been working hard on them, and forgot to share with you Here’s some of the fabrics I’m working with for a couple of the orders that are under my machine right now. ... All of these fabrics were selected by clients, some with consultation and some without - ready for me to work my magic and turn them into something that makes them feel beautiful! Which one is your favourite? I can’t decide! #sewsustainable #raspberriesandsoda #customorders #wahmmade #fabriclove #womensfashion #australianmadeandowned #madeinaustralia #sewistsofinstagram #makersgonnamake #makersofinstagram #floral #leopardprint #summerfashion #sewing #sustainablefashionlabel #sustainablymade #ethicalfashion #moretocomesoon #lightandairy #chiffon #cotton #silk #inspiration #fabriclover
