23.01.2022 We are delighted to release our first findings from the Rate My Building Research Project. DO APARTMENT DWELLERS WANT TO ENTERTAIN GUESTS AT HOME?
20.01.2022 Introducing our latest survey, specifically for health care professionals to rate their health centre. If you work in the health care industry please take 5 minutes to help our research
19.01.2022 From the survey responses gathered so far, the early data suggests that architect designed houses are easier to clean, maintain and relax in. Architect designed homes are also easier to entertain guests in which is great news for the 55% of house dwellers who consider entertaining guests to be important or very important to their lifestyle. If you haven't taken a survey yet please take 5 minutes to go to www.ratemybuilding.com.au to further our research.
18.01.2022 Interesting comment from a Rate My House survey: "Obviously, as an investment, some of the finer features were scrimped on. The taps, while new, fall apart and the carpet hasn't been finished properly (left with a ragged edge next to the laminate flooring instead of having a divider over it. Some air conditioning would be nice as it gets very very very hot, though the heating is a blessing for winter."
18.01.2022 A recent response to our Rate My House survey provided an interesting insight. The house design was selected from designs provided by a builder and built in a leafy middle ring suburb of Melbourne. The house is between 1 and 5 years old and already has cracking in the walls or ceiling. The respondent also found that the house was not easy to keep clean or entertain guests within.
13.01.2022 Just under half of the respondents to our office survey have told us that they have too little space to store their personal belongings in their office. Over 15% of all our office respondents said they had far to little storage space. This situation leads to a very cluttered workplace that is less presentable and it could even be less productive.
13.01.2022 What do architects want from their offices? This is from the latest response on Rate My Office: "Greater diversity of work spaces to suit the varied tasks we do as designers. Greater access to private / quiet spaces to avoid distractions / interruptionas we have an open plan office." This sounds good to us!
10.01.2022 64.7% of Victorian respondents to our Rate My Apartment survey believe their apartment storage space is insufficient for their needs

06.01.2022 Kitchens are in many cases the heart of the home, yet the responses so far suggest that around 1 in 5 are either difficult or very difficult to use. Whilst you might expect that kitchens in apartments would perform worse than kitchens in houses due to the space limitations on apartments, at this point there is not a significant difference in the responses
04.01.2022 Is your Apartment well designed? this respondent thinks so: "Given the small space (24 sqm) the designers have done well to incorporate as much storage space as possible. It is reasonably comfortable living for such a small space with lots of communal areas to share which is great for getting out and socialising and enjoying some extra space. The place is designed well." Rate your apartment today... www.ratemybuilding.com.au
