25.01.2022 "Nestled near the banks of the Clyde River, lies the homestead property of Ratho Farm. Excellent rooms full of rustic charm with all the modern luxuries. Wonderful staff, brilliant food. Highlight being the informal, friendly dinner. Close to Nant Distillery and the historic township of Bothwell. A must see for locals and visitors!" Alex H. (Jun 2015)

24.01.2022 Thank you Justin! "While borders are still closed, we're lucky in Tasmania to have so many great options of places to go and experiences to enjoy. We're especially lucky Ratho Farm is one of those places. I had two amazing nights in the cosy heritage comfort of the Verandah Suite, overlooking the River Clyde. After two days of picnicking by the river and pottering about the property, Ratho had me feeling very much 'at home', reset and totally relaxed. Thanks for a memorable couple of days. Absolutely recommending Ratho! Take some friends, take a lover or just take yourself but definitely take the time to unwind riverside at Ratho." Justin, Australia (Sep 2020)

23.01.2022 Very few rooms available; BUT what an offer!

22.01.2022 A lovely comment from a recent stay with us As busy people, having a weekday off was luxury and even more luxurious, was our stay at Ratho Farm. Fabulous decor, stunning locales and even warmer service provided with charm and friendly nature by Anita. Will definitely come back again!" Shaista, Australia (Oct 2020)

22.01.2022 Another wonderful comment from a recent guest "Great place for a getaway even if not interested in golf. Quiet, beautiful, great dinner and company. Rooms are beautiful and really great amenities." Peta, North Hobart (Aug 2020)

21.01.2022 There's a lot of whisky to be won, and having Peter as your partner will raise money for a good cause AND give you a GREAT chance of winning!

19.01.2022 Thank you Paul! "If you are into down to earth real life farm experience you shouldn't go past it. The cabins were well appointed, the heated floor tiles in the bathroom were well received especially as we had a good dusting of snow. We have read the positive reviews and agree whole heartily with the comments!" Paul, Australia (Aug 2018)

17.01.2022 Not sure i need to add much to my garbled commentary of this pretty impressive FLOODING here at Ratho Farm

16.01.2022 Thank you Gillian! "Being a travel agent I have been so lucky to explore alot of overseas destinations and incredible hotels around the world. During Covid and a very stressful time, Ratho Farm proved to be the best antidote to all the mayhem in life and reminded me once again that we really are living in the best place in the world." Gillian, Australia (Today)

16.01.2022 A lovely comment from a recent stay with us This was my second stay at Ratho Farm and my wife and I will be back again for sure. It is such a great historic part of Tasmania, the accommodation was excellent and the meals were hearty and welcoming. It might become our quasi country go-to home! Just love it." John D., Australia (Sep 2020)

13.01.2022 We loved having Krysten at Ratho Farm "Ratho farm is amazing. Our host Michael was fantastic and very knowledgeable. He provided a great experience and even shared the opportunity to feed the animals around the farm. What an amazing place to stay. Can't wait to return!" Krysten, Australia (Oct 2020)

12.01.2022 It was a pleasure having Oliver stay, thanks for your kind words "Despite late arrival, a dinner was prepared for us, which was also really delicious. The matching gin and tonic rounded off perfectly the evening. EXCELLENT service!" Oliver, Germany (Feb 2019)

12.01.2022 We are thrilled to have had Thomas stay The location of Ratho Farm was immeasurably beautiful. So quiet and peaceful, we relished it in the early evening as we sat on the deck watching the chickens roam the grounds. There’s a sheep paddock and a babbling brook right nearby. We also mentioned in our booking we were on our belated honeymoon and our host very kindly gave us a bottle of sparkling wine." Thomas, Australia (Feb 2019)

12.01.2022 We loved having Anna at Ratho Farm Stunning property in a great location. Very novel to walk around the oldest golf course in Ausralia. The old buildings have been thoughtfully and tastefully restored. Excellent service from Michael, delicious dinner and entertaining evening conversation." Anna, Australia (Aug 2020)

11.01.2022 We are thrilled to have had Paula stay A feeling of history - staying in an almost 200 year old convict built bakery that is lovely, cosy, comfortable and nicely decorated - surrounded by beautiful scenery and historical buildings. Friendly staff - beautiful views." Paula, USA (Jan 2020)

09.01.2022 Ratho farm is one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed! From catching a lamb for a cuddle (don't judge until you have cuddled a lamb), taking the boys for a round of golf, creating a delicious gluten free/nut free dinner to telling stories of the farms past and taking us on a farm tour their joy and enthusiasm was infectious. They went above and beyond for which we are so thankful. In conclusion, Ratho is a dream and we are so glad we stumbled upon them! Mary2lou, Sunshine Coast (Oct 2015)

03.01.2022 We’re humbled from such kind words "Had a great time at the farm. The hosts made us feel really welcome and special for our honeymoon and the grounds and cottages are absolutely beautiful. Very unique experience and hospitality not often experienced. Thanks again guys!" Katie, Brisbane (Sep 2015)

02.01.2022 From our anonymous guest survey on check-out "Words can not describe how serene and breathtaking this location is. Excellent accommodation, great homemade food and lovely people and you end up with a memorable experience. The rooms are nice and clean with very modern bathrooms in an old-style overall feel. Will definitely visit again!" (2016)

02.01.2022 This has always been a bit of a mystery to me; i can't find any further info from this post about Ratho Hall in Edinburgh. We know the Reid family who settled Ratho Tasmania were brewers & distillers in Ratho village before emigrating; but this tantalising pinterest page leads me nowhere. What can you find out?? https://www.pinterest.com.au/pin/490540584412072269/

02.01.2022 Our reputation as a dog-welcoming destination is growing. Thankyou @cyrilyates
