25.01.2022 As Rat Kangaroo hibernates heres another work from our vast and eclectic archive. Sometime between 1980/81 this piece was recorded to cassette in an early digestive of Anti Hierarchy, one of Chips earliest bands, with Tony Cardinal on a "stolen" drum kit. Conscription For The Young was written by Brett Sonter. More about Anti Hierarchys "tight and hard" accompanies this clip. https://vimeo.com/chipwardale/conscriptionfortheyoung

22.01.2022 In spite of life indoors and being unable to perform let alone rehearse together, we've been completing work on our second EP. In the meantime, here's a piece Chip produced a good 10 years ago, a remix cutup folly on superheros and the satisfaction many find in the misfortune of others. https://vimeo.com/9055987

16.01.2022 Rat Kangaroos EP 02 is up and out. Strap yerselves in! Rat Kangaroo EP02 shifts from the straight up post punk rock of EP01 to a more industrial backed, sonically diverse and dangerous territory. It tells stories that come from the dark side of life and living. Musically EP02 jumps from circus funk to cinematic grunt, then from angular jungle junk to jazz punk. All four songs are again heavy on the groove, starting life with bass and drums, then layering up and morphing int...o Rat Kangaroo style romps. Come hang with the Freaks In The Drain and gape with them into the Crack ODoom, then mourn the tragic fate of King Kong and despair at the brutal savagery of The Downfall. https://ratkangaroo.bandcamp.com/album/ep-02
15.01.2022 Come see the new musics! And you gets to wear special threads. A full and interesting night of live music for zero dollars. Gives you a bigger was to spend at the bar!!!

09.01.2022 Weve evolved out of a lot of side projects, but our earliest influences are drawn from bands we played in through the early 1980s. Heres a clip by Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk from 1984 https://vimeo.com/13144636

06.01.2022 Over the next few weeks as we try and get some airplay for EP02 and think about the future of music and how we do what we love to do from here on in, were going to share a few of our other projects here n there. Were far from idle. Heres SMUG, written and sung by Andrew featuring Chip on bass with the infamous Mike Rudd (aka Spectrum) on mouth organ, David Nerlich (aka Stoch) on backing vocals and Simone White (of Disposable Heroes of Hypocrisy fame) on drums. https://vimeo.com/364224872
