24.01.2022 Hi everyone. On Sunday third of March, we held our AGM out at the Millstream Store. . It was a very interesting morning and included a meeting with Justin Commons, Chief Executive of the TRC. After an informative discussion with Justin we proceeded with our AGM. Kirsty Luk Corbett was re-elected as our President with Heather Walch as Vice President. Priscilla Clare is Secretary again, with Simone Fischer as Treasurer and Margy Corbett as Vice Treasurer. Margy is also goin...g to handle publicity and Jo Blacker is going to be Member Secretary. We had good member attendance and are very positive for a happy and successful year for our group. Our meetings will be held on the first Saturday of the month at 2.30 pm at The Barn. Our first event will be a reading of Kirsty’s play Pepper Reunion which will be held at the Youth Shed on 17th March at 2 pm. Thank you very much to Jenny Bafico and her offsider for the use of her great facility and the great food and drinks they served up on the day. Very yummy and efficient. Thanks guys. See more

21.01.2022 Shaping up to be a great day. 28 stall holders booked in. Fresh, local organic fruit&veg (you asked for it and got it), plants, bric a brac, treasure... Come down for a FREE Jamie's Ministry of Food gourmet bacon and egg burger and grab a bargain Community gardens will open to the public.

21.01.2022 What an awesome Quiz night! We had a record crowd (almost triple the usual competitors) and I've never seen the hall so packed and tables magically appearing to cater for so many that came. It could never have been accomplished without the incredible support of volunteers as it takes a monster effort before, during and after - so thank you! Also thank to all those that stay and help us pack up, it is very very much appreciated. Congratulations to all the winners and thank you all that supported RATS tonight! It was absolutely incredible and such a laugh!

20.01.2022 Saturday 2nd is our next car boot and market day. We have stall spaces available and will be setting up a shared community marquee where people with only a few ...items for sale can come along and share the space. We have plenty of tables you can borrow and lots of shady trees to set up under. It's FREE to come along and sell your 'stuff'. Make some $ for Christmas and support your local community centre. See you there!

12.01.2022 Let the games begin... What a great way to get our 'Community Connections' programs up and running again... Youth Drama Games...starting at Town Hall on Satur...day 25th July from 10-12. If you haven't played before you are most welcome to come along for a look. Bring your laughing gear ...drama games are an absolute hoot. Thanks to RATS for collaborating in this Community Connections project and a big shout out to TRC who are sponsoring Town Hall use for this project and others. 05.01.2022 Eight people attended our monthly meeting at The Barn on Saturday afternoon. Amongst the normal business of these meetings was included an agreement to apply for permission to use the town hall and have a working bee on Good Friday to tidy and reorganise our area under the stage. Kirsty told us that Radcare have asked us if we will do something at their Seniors Week celebration at the Golf Club in August. We were all happy to agree to this and will post details as the time ...gets closer. We also discussed plans for our Torimba activities this year. Very fun and exciting with two events coming up. We will do our famous Quiz night of course. Last years was an absolute blockbuster and we hope to do the same again. Our second massive event is a xxxxxxxxxxxxx . Oh dear that’s right .......at the moment this is a mystery event and we will release details as it gets closer, but we assure you it is going to be great! So please watch this space. We all also agreed that we really enjoyed our play reading of Kirsty’s first ever play. We are all waiting for the next one which she has started and will follow the theme of the first. 01.01.2022 Call up for RATS superstars Ravenshoe Community Centre is celebrating Harmony Day (Sat 21st March) with a family festival celebrating the amazing diversity of our beautiful community. Amoung other events there will be a story telling marquee where stories from around the globe will be shared with our kids. We are looking for story tellers who will delight our children and spread the Harmony Day message...Everybody Belongs. This is a great opportunity to share your heritage or somebody elses with the most receptive and adorable audience ever...our kids
