25.01.2022 What the 5 day lockdown means for our patients: All appointments are going ahead as Telehealth appointments and you must have a phone consult with the doctor prior to entering the practice. This now includes New Patients, we ask that you please complete our New Patient Form on our website www.ravenswoodfamilypractice.com.au prior to your phone appointment. Upon arriving at the practice a nurse will take your temperature and take you through to the doctor. We ask that only... the patient attend the practice. (One parent/Support person allowed) Clinipath are still open and you will have your temperature taken upon arrival. Scripts. If the doctor prescribes you medication during your phone consult, the script will be sent through to the pharmacy by the close of business. We will endeavour to get the scripts through as soon as possible after your appointment but please be patient as we have a high volume of scripts and it isn't something that happens instantly. If your script is urgent please contact reception to advise. We appreciate that these are confusing and scary times for everyone but together we will all get through this as we have done before. Thank you to our patients and thank you to our medical team who continue to work through this pandemic.

24.01.2022 We wish to advise our patients of some important changes within the Practice. Due to the government lockdown measures taking effect from 6pm tonight, 31st January 2021 all upcoming appointments will be changed to telehealth. Following a telehealth consultation, if the Doctor deems it necessary for you to attend the Practice they will advise. If you have an appointment booked this coming week, DO NOT attend the practice. Please wait for your GP to phone.... We will endeavour to keep you informed of any changes. We thank you for your support and understanding during this time. And remember, together we will get through this!

14.01.2022 Telehealth Available today!!! Yes we are open and yes we are still taking bookings, they are just being performed a little differently. All consults with your GP are via phone consults and if your GP deems it necessary for you to come in to the practice your temperature will be checked upon arrival. Please remember to wear your mask. Some facts about your heart: Did you know that your heart is the size of your fist and the strongest muscle in your body? It started beating about three weeks after you were conceived. If you live to be 70, it will have beaten two and a half billion times. We are living in unprecedented times. The COVID-19 pandemic has shone a spotlight on the healthcare profession, national healthcare systems and our individual responsibilities for our own health and for the vulnerable in society. We don’t know what course the pandemic will take in the future but we do know that taking care of our hearts right now is more important than ever.

09.01.2022 Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month! Around 1550 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer in Australia each year, with more than two-thirds at an advanced stage. Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month is all about helping people get tested earlier to prevent this as well as providing support to patients and families. If you have any questions please feel free to ask your GP at your next appointment.
