24.01.2022 5 things to organise before Christmas challenge ... Christmas is 2 weeks away this Wednesday. No. 4 for me is to finish wrapping the Christmas presents. Such a fun job. Almost done, just the finishing touches. What have you been up to with your challenges? Don't forget if you don't like wrapping presents most major shopping centres offer a gift wrapping service. Allow some extra time and have them all wrapped at the end :-)

24.01.2022 Today marks a very special occasion in our house. My son finishes primary school! It is also the last time he will attend the same school as his sister. Very emotional day all round. It also marks the end of the Prep to Year 6 memory box. I will be off to the shops to buy a new plastic container to start Year 7 next year. By only keeping the most treasured items I have managed to keep it all in 1 box and hoping I will be able to do the same for the next chapter :-)

21.01.2022 Good news from Bec at Raw Beetroot. Ruby and Pete have asked to have us on board at 96.5FM radio again this year. Coming into our 17 months. Very exciting. We will also continue writing articles for Starts at 60, thanks to the team at Starts at Sixty. Best wishes to everyone for a fabulous 2015!

21.01.2022 I am working with a lovely client at the moment. She is downsizing from a 3 bedroom home into a retirement unit. She still has boxes at her home unpacked from when she moved in (5 years ago). This afternoon she said, "Bec, I haven't seen or used anything in that box since I've been here, donate it!". Now that's a pretty big call. I quietly went through the box to check she did not have any valuables, but thought to myself, I wonder if she wants a job working for us!! Ha Ha. Lovely but funny moment :-)

21.01.2022 Is this you today? Take some time to plan your day either at the end of the day (for the next day) or the beginning of the day (for the day ahead). You will definitely feel like you're rushing less :-)

By planning now, you have time to buy in advance, cook in advance, and let your guests know what they can bring so they can organise in advance. Remember to keep it simple. Enjoy the moment :-)

Think about, and make a list, of all the things you want to get done. Then, start getting them done. Scheduling time means it will get done. Good luck!

My question is, do you have an inventory of your home and contents? When something goes wrong and you can't access your contents, how will you know what you are replacing? 01.01.2022 Still haven't put your Christmas cards away or not sure what to do with them? A great idea is to make a file for Christmas Cards and only keep the last year. When it comes time to writing your cards this year, you can take out the old cards and start writing. Throw away last year's. It is also helpful if you forget any names (especially childrens' names).
